So impressed with everyone! My arms are waaaaay too flabby to be feeding walking around!

I've just got back from America, where I expected lots of mums with their bosoms out feeding in public. But not so! I was definitely a novelty in the town where my bro in law lives. The diners were a pain - fixed benches with about 30 cm between the back rest and the table. My 6 month old wriggler sounds just like yours, Ruth! Also fed on the ferry in New York with tourists practically standing on me to get a good pic of Liberty, on many many trains, in supermarkets - boy did I get some looks! Having said that the Americans were absolutely bonkers about babies, and we had too stop every 2 mins or so, even in Manhatten, for someone to coo!

Worst place I fed was actually the plane - good old tiny economy class seat. I had to turn sideways which was really uncomfotable for 20-30 mins. On the return journey I planned to ask to feed in Business class (haha, they'd love that!) but in the end sat in the loo at JFK expressing his feed and enjoyed having my feet up on the plane while my hubby fed. much better!

    • The couple who I joint own the freehold tend to dictate on what work is needed. I usually just pay half but they usually decide the contractors to use.
    • I am sorry to  continue this, but I found your previous  comment about me very personal,  disturbing and upsetting, which was why I responded at length. I'm sorry it bored you. I try to stick to facts. I have investigated. You (and anyone else) can go into the "search" settings on here and  do a search on an author's name. So you can (I presume) find all my posts, including any which were  replying  to you. I can't imagine that they are in greater numbers than my replies to anyone else, but you can see for yourself. I guess you can probably also find examples of what you call my "usual sarcasm". I wasn't aware that l had a tendency to sarcasm, though I do find a lot of things funny.  There is no need to reply to this unless you actually find evidence in support of what you said. Sorry everybody else. I had to get it off my chest as I was lying awake last night worrying about it 😭

    • The Section 20 is just notification of intention to carry out works.  You have the right to object, propose an alternative or find different contractors. If you are joint freeholders why is your co freeholder acting unilaterally?  What is your usual mechanism for making decisions?
