yapfurley
Dear parents,I am one of the co-chairs of the Southwark and Lambeth NCT branch, and want to highlight that this week is National Breastfeeding Awareness Week.Since 1993, the National Breastfeeding Awareness Week has been run annually by the Department of Health as a key event for promoting breastfeeding. This year, National Breastfeeding Week will run from 21st - 27th June 2010. The main aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the health benefits of breastfeeding, increase social acceptance of breastfeeding and promote support for breastfeeding. Breastfeeding is natural and normal and gives your baby the best start. Every day you breast feed makes a difference to your baby's health now and in the future. Saying that though, everyone recognises that parents, particularly mothers, require a huge amount of support and understanding to help them along the way. So please come and attend a free and informal get-together session to hear more about breastfeeding, the stories, the lessons learnt and to share your own experiences and queries. Everyone is welcome, from expectant mothers to first-timers and "old hands"Venue- 34 Stonehills Court, College Road, London SE21 7LZ. Date and time- Thursday 24th June, 2 to 4pm. Light refreshments providedRSVP- Jackie Furley at [email protected] or 0782481490Hope to see you tomorrow!Best regardsJackie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11918-breastfeeding-drop-in-on-24610-se21/ Share on other sites
