Let Only Service - Fees?

Having had a quick ring around I've been quoted between 10-15% for a let only service, which is already significantly more than I've paid previously, even if that was admittedly a couple of years ago. Coupled with the fact that I'm a rubbish negotiator, can anyone advise on whether this really is the going rate for this service or if they can be negotiated down (and how far)? Any Agent recommendations that provide a reasonable balance between fees and service (from a Landlords' perspective) ......

Hi - I work for a local lettings and property management company on Lordship Lane.

The cost depends on what you are marketing to a certain extent; 10-15% for letting a room or studio is not unreasonable but if it were a 3 bedroom house for instance, I know we could offer you a significantly better deal. Let me know what you are looking to let and we could give you an idea of our charges or come and meet you.

    • Yes. I must have accidentally clicked on something when I was coming out of the brightness settings after having checked the brightness was ok on the spreadsheet I was editing. And the first Which Tech person I spoke to when all this started said I couldn't have done that because the only settings on that page were for brightness. But neither he nor  I nor anyone else until now came to the what now seems obvious conclusion that I had somehow on coming out of the settings clicked on something which turned the brightness down completely to black  But as my daughter just said, why on earth would you have the lowest setting set to  no brightness at all?! Bonkers! Anyway, thanks so much again to everyone who has helped, it's much appreciated ❤️
    • A bit of a delayed review but we had a kitchen sink disaster on Christmas Day, so called Nico (after finding his incredible reviews on the ED forum) and he came over the day after boxing day. Incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and super professional. It was a tricky job but Nico fixed it within an hour. Can't recommend him highly enough.

    • Thanks D Walker, I think I'd misunderstood what the works actually involved! Sorry.
