Bea's Baby Bop Summer Schedule Update

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Hope you're well and having a lovely summer! Just a note to clarify that unfortunately there is no Monday morning baby bop class meeting at The Dish and The Spoon cafe for the moment. I'm hoping we'll be able to return to the newly named "Space At 61" venue in the future so will update you if and when that happens.

All other baby bop classes are running as normal throughout the summer. It's been brilliant having so many boppers in classes these past weeks and I am working on adding some new classes to the schedule to accommodate us all. If you have any schedule requests in terms of days/times/locations wanted, please do let me know. Additionally, I always enjoy hearing any suggestions or feedback regarding classes and/or the schedule you might have!

As of tomorrow, there is a NEW Wednesday afternoon session meeting at the lovely Cambria pub in Herne Hill/Camberwell from 3:30-4:30pm. Please see address details in the schedule below. Very much looking forward to seeing some of you there!

Best,

Bea

  • 2 weeks later...

Please note that as of tomorrow there will be TWO Friday morning baby bop sessions running at The Florence from 10:30-11:15am and from 11:15am to 12pm.

This is due to a record breaking amount of boppers turning up for class last Friday morning! Huge thank you for your support, it is very much appreciated! And massive thanks to the lovely Florence pub for being so accommodating in hosting us. Apologies to those who weren't able to squeeze in for a bop last week, the two sessions should hopefully alleviate numbers :) !

Best,

Bea

Class will be running as normal at The Florence tomorrow afternoon on the Bank Holiday. Lovely opportunity for any grown ups off for the holiday to join us in a bop (and a beer ;) !?!) !

Also excited to announce that there is a NEW class starting this week on Tuesday mornings running from 11am-12pm at the fantastic Watson's General Telegraph pub on Forest Hill Road in East Dulwich, near Peckham Rye Park. We'll be bopping in their lovely function room in the back garden and it should be a great new session!

Hope you're having a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Best,

Bea

    • I was talking to my brother in the law last weekend who works for a different water company. He said he and his colleagues watch TW’s woes with a mixed of horror, disbelief and then relief that they work for a different water company. Worth a watch. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m00284vt
    • But Thatcher is dead. Nobody since has brought the utilities back under public ownership (if that's the right term). So there are many people who could be blamed. Meanwhile the shareholders get richer and everyone else gets increasing bills and a poorer service. Plus as said above, a massive waste of a limited resource like water. Not to mention the polluted rivers and seas. At least the privatisation of the railways is being reversed. Hopefully water may be on the list somewhere.
    • That's really helpful. Do the Community Councils still exist? It sounds to me that whoever the contact is on the council who has sorted out the North Cross Road notice board and put the new list of councillors in it must at least have access to the key for that one? Unless it was one of the unlocked ones. And of course if somebody knows where the keys are, they may have no idea that people are looking for them or that this forum thread exists. Which are the notice boards which are not locked?  The very helpful locksmith near the station (?Callows?)  might be able to provide keys for them, or if not, new locks, in return for some local publicity? In fact, they may be able to advise in general, rather than keep trying unresponsive people at the council. But then of course there is still the question of who is going to take responsibility for putting appropriate East Dulwich community information into them and updating it as necessary.
    • Our residents' association used to have keys many moons ago, but when locks were changed, we tried everyone (including ward councillors) to get keys to no avail. A couple of boards are not locked. The Community Councils originally paid for all the notice boards in Dulwich. May have come under the Cleaner Greener budget.
