Nanny Available September 2016, non smoker and confident driver

Recommended Posts

Hello Dear Families

I am an energetic, responsible, professional and caring nanny. I consider myself a good cooker, able to cook healthy food.

I am very committed and flexible person. I have never been late or sick.

I had worked 5 months (Nov,2013) for a family of 3 kids (B5,G2 and B New born) helping the mother in their first months with the new born.

Recommended by the previous family, I started a new job as well as Mother help in a new family, where I stayed for 5 months (April,2014) as well. The family have 3 kids (B5,B4 and B New Born). My duties were nursery duties and teaching them portuguese. One of the children has special needs, which allowed me to improve my skills as a nanny.

I hold a first aid certificate recognised by OFSTED.

I am full qualified in Support and Learning in Schools level 2 - as part of my course I did a placement in primary school for 6 months (Jan,2014), working with year 4.

For a year (September 2014 to August 2015) I worked as an after school nanny for a family in Balham, looking after a B10 and G6. For the same period I had also worked as Lunchtime Supervisor in a private primary school located in Balham too.

At the moment I am working for a family of 4 looking after two girls aged 5 and 8 in Raynes Park. I started working for this family in September 2015.

I am OFSTED registered.

Full car driving license (over than a year driving in UK).

Please read the following reference from my last employer:

"Diana Madeira worked for my family for one year as an after school nanny and has provided some cover during School Holidays since September 2014. Her role has been to collect my 2 children, a boy aged 10 and a girl aged 6, from school 4 days per week. Her duties have included cooking dinner, ensuring that homework has been completed, organising play dates, getting the children bathed and ready for bed. I have been satisfied by Diana?s work. Diana is reliable and always arrives on time. She has not taken any sick days. She has always ensured that homework and music practice is completed and has entertained the children until I have returned from work. Diana is trustworthy and I consider that the children are safe with her. "

Please Note:

My current employers operate a PAYE scheme through PAYE for Nannies and I am looking to continue with a set up similar to that.

I am employer at the moment, one month notice is required.

Happy to consider any time of arrangement.

I hope you can consider my application

Best Regards,

Diana Madeira

    • I have someone from Which Tech phoning on Monday afternoon. I couldn't get an earlier appointment. I am hoping that now there is a visible display, they will be able to get me online and then  remotely control the laptop and identify what went wrong and whether it is an ongoing fault or, if not, whether it is likely to recur. If they can't, or if they identify a hardware fault,  I will have to grit my teeth and let John Lewis's third party "repair" company take it away and deal with it 😭 I'm very grateful for your advice, but when I saw "Windows will restart automatically" my immediate reaction was to think "but suppose it doesn't" and "suppose the screen goes black again" which I know is very negative but I'd rather someone else was there when I did it, albeit on the end of the phone! Meanwhile, every cloud etc, as I have installed Word on my phone, which I didn't know was possible, and I have been editing and printing documents from there.  I haven't investigated whether I can do the same with Excel, but I will see what happens on Monday.
    • Just to the right of where the goslings were there’s a tree on the lake side of the fence where I like to watch the mother and baby rats. It was there today  there was a  dog. I was surprised by the nimble way this large dog jumped back over the fence.
    • If you mean the area immediately adjacent to the water, I have never seen either a dog or a human in there. Surely it would be extremely difficult for someone - or their dog - to get over the fence (I thought they were iron railings. Are we talking about different parts of the pond/lake?)
