Fi from West Dulwich
Hello, I want to get a sun shade to fit my Maclaren Techno XT to protect my toddler, and would be very grateful for any recommendations please. Don't want a parasol and am really looking for something that extends to cover legs and feet. Like the idea of the Shade a Babe, but does anyone know if it is suitable for toddlers, or is really just for tinies who can be popped in and out of the unzipped front section?Thank you very much in advance for any replies. The Nappy Lady
Hi Fi,I've used a shade a babe with both mine - on the eldest even up to the age of 3/4 (went on holiday when preggers with no. 2 so had buggy for evenings out), and with no. 2 who is now coming up to 2 and it is working fine. Only really use the zip in the front in order to open it up a bit when they are awake and maybe needing a bit less protection, and a word of advice - I used mine at the beach and then packed it away for the winter, and next time I came to use it one of the zips had rusted up completely and broke when I tried to get it working, should have washed it off as I guess it must have got sea salt from the general atmosphere on it. Still works OK as it has velcro at the top, and zip on 1 side works, but it is annoying.Soup Dragon on Lordship Lane do some other, and cheaper options, I think a shade that clips on to the buggy and extends rather like a flat hood which a few people on here said was good last year.Best wishes, Molly Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11762-buggy-sunshade-recommendations-for-toddlers-please/#findComment-331873 Share on other sites

nicolemodesti
You could try Protectabub sunshade which we use for our 21 month old. We have the universal one and find it quite small to pack away when travelling.http://protect-a-bubusa.com/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11762-buggy-sunshade-recommendations-for-toddlers-please/#findComment-332017 Share on other sites
ludoscotts
hi we used the one in the link below, its from jo jo maman bebe and it was fantastic, It s ?8 and it fastens on with little clips so you can put it on anything, really really useful. We used it on a high chair when on hol, on the carseat in the car and on the buggy. its pop up so it folds down to about the size of a side plate and is very very lightweight and so small you can just have it slipped in your change bag incase its needed. and you buy them in dulwich. sunshade link Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11762-buggy-sunshade-recommendations-for-toddlers-please/#findComment-332121 Share on other sites
