sleepy bunny
Can anyone recommend a good campsite on the isle of wight, family (we have two girls 2 and ) and dog friendly? Looked at Orchards, Appledurcombe Gardens and Grange Farm (Grange Farm looks good but windy!). Thanks. Carrie
We stayed at Grange Farm many years ago - they used to have lots of animals including Kune Kune pigs and alpacas which my two loved when they were about 7 - although we were complete wimps and stayed in the holiday cottages there - absolutely lovely place right on the coast - and apparently Brighstone Bay has a microclimate so likely to be sunny when all around is not! However, it is a bit isolated compared with Appledurcombe - but then nowhere on the Isle of Wight is very far from anywhere else so not too much of a worry, Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11616-campsite-on-the-isle-of-wight/#findComment-329097 Share on other sites
redjam
Not quite a campsite, but we are off to stay in an original 1950s Airstream trailer on the Isle of Wight in a few weeks! Think they also have a campsite where they have teepees and old-fashioned scout tents etc. See www.vintagevacations.co.uk.
