nymom
I would like to get my almost 2 year old son his first bike for his birthday. I am deciding between the Islabike and the Likeabike. Anyone have feedback on these? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11596-islabike-vs-likeabike/ Share on other sites
gwod
I'm sure the "ride" is equally good on either of these, but for me, a the Islabike would definately be better because of its Pneumatic Tyres and the fact it can live outside, Likeabikes get very splintery after they've been wet and dont hand down or sell so well. Also it looks like a proper "Big Boys Bike"! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11596-islabike-vs-likeabike/#findComment-328677 Share on other sites
ljs
We got the likeabike for our 2 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it and has taken to riding it everywhere. As I have no experience of any other bike so I can;t comment on the other make of bike.I believe that the likeabikes do last well, a friend of ours has one that is 6 years old and it's still in full use on their third child. If you look on the likeabike website it will tell you about the materials used to bulid their bikes. I'm sure your son will enjoy whatever you buy for him.... nymom
Thanks for the feedback so far. I guess I was also wondering whether I should go for wood or metal. The likeabike makes a metal bike now although on their website it is sold out. I like the look of the wood but wasn't sure how it would hold up etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/11596-islabike-vs-likeabike/#findComment-328755 Share on other sites
ljs
do check where their stockists are... I think there is a shop in Battersea and catford . At least this way you could go and try before you buy.
