SeanMacGabhann
I may not qualify - but as this is the first week-day pleasant evening in a while I was half tempted to drop into the Rye on the way home anyway... That garden just says "summer" in a way that nowhere on the Strip does Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1159-reviving-gay-drinks-at-the-rye/#findComment-30342 Share on other sites
mikese22
having failed miserably as organiser (I blame the rain) - I'd love to come along as simply an attendee! When were you thinking of? char1ie
Isn't every drinks night at the Rye Hotel gay drinks? Scott's a woopsie, the staff are woopsies, it's a woopsie hangout! Didn't they once have a pub quiz that revolved around musicals, showtunes and kylie? Lovely place. Is it gay drinks tomorrow? James
A "whoopsie"? Not heard that one before! I thought a "whoopsie" was a name for an accident in the toilet department. char1ie
Woopsies. A fun word. Best used in the collective form: "a load of us woopsies are going on a coach trip to Bournemouth"No H by the way.Charlie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1159-reviving-gay-drinks-at-the-rye/#findComment-31436 Share on other sites

char1ie
No, I think "I've done a woopsie" uttered by a very small child does mean they've had an accident. Narnia
And you need one? If you are gay i.e. homosexual why have an evening that excludes others? I'm new to this forum but I don't understand the need to exclude people from anything. I could suggest an evening of drinks for left handed ginger haired people with a twitch in their right eye and at least one wooden leg. But why would I do that? I don't know. As it's a 'gay' event then presumably it's because you want to meet other gays with the prospect of a relationship. Don't mean to be harsh but i don't get it. There must be gay forums i presume. Having a common interest isn't monopolised by gays when organising such events, single parents (Gingerbread), women (WI), men (lads night out) etc. None of which are generally intended for meeting prospective partners (within the group), that's not saying it couldn't happen. I'll be going to have a laugh with a lesbian friend and my ever so heterosexual faghag, both of whom I've no intention of having a relationship with other than as friends (and bloody good ones at that).Yes there are 'gay forums', but does that mean that gays should be restricted to those or that EDF should be for straights only ? Come along, have a laugh and if you can find a left handed ginger haired person with a twitch in their right eye and at least one wooden leg, bring them too. :)-D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1159-reviving-gay-drinks-at-the-rye/#findComment-32452 Share on other sites
