I did mention this in my post which was before yours. Where do you buy yours from? It is ubiquitous in the US. I don't understand why SMBS doesn't sell it anymore but they do have loads of other chile sauces.

OMG

I am eating a cheese sandwich which contains this very sauce whilst reading your post "live" on the forum *Bob*

( though I over did it somewhat & each bite is like swallowing a hot rivet )

I am going for an MRI brain scan at 6:00 pm

*wonders if the sauce has any side effect*

WMD, I too am an addict. May I humbly submit an offering I have been introduced to by the ghanain brothers. It is called -ominously - shito. Prononced sheeto. Made, i think, from dried prawns garlic and chilli oil. Most authentically acquired in a bottle with a handwritten label from a stall in Brixton . Now more prosaically available in sainsbury at DKH. Still lush, though!

OMG

We're all on the same "gear"....

"I'm soooo lovin' this thread.."

Bad boy sausages? There is a thread on hot sauce in The Lounge. You should post about these boys on there. Are the el paso ones different? You used to do mexican ones didn't you? Are they the same as el paso?

Lastly...

We tried the " SHITO " sauce last night , LadyW**F lost a contact lens whilst coughing from the heat, which is always a good sign

( it is not though for the faint hearted ::o )

I tried ....

a homemade "sauce" recently...

Made with "Scotch bonnet" peppers ....

My god I needed to stub a cigarette out on my tongue to cool it off.

Honestly it felt like my tongue had been beaten by hammers on an anvil for an hour

I literally had lost the sensation in my mouth for days

I mean I like hot but that was lethal

* fans rear end exhaust *

There you go, spreading your legs again.

Sounds as if 'nuclear fission of the rectum' might be more accurate.

This is a good thread except no one is putting the address of the shops where we may purchase the hot stuff,

please edit your posts people so we can indulge in your selections.

    • Just to clarify, this isn't the same cherry as last year, it's in the corner by the path that runs down to the crossroads of FHR / Colyton / Dunstans. It hasn't been an issue previously because the perimeter wasn't as large... I'm sure it must have been noticed & flagged during the various planning meetings, walkabouts etc and there is an ecological resolution planned that will avoid any damage to the tree. After all, Gala pride themselves on their environmental stance, being "nestled in the park" and everything... 🤦
    • Those branches are going to get chopped...again. All of this shows the central paradox at the heart of Southwark's greening the streets policy. What is the good of planting trees in tarmac if you are simultaneously wrecking large sections of the park and stopping locals using the park? It just does not make sense. Cllr Catherine Rose should be made to answer for Gala conduct, if they are already flouting the terms of their agreement.
