Smart Roadster for sale ?2800

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I was speaking to a neighbour about selling my car and she suggested posting here (to save on listing fees!)

So for sale is my gold and silver 2004 Smart Roadster with Trackline wheels, 79,000 miles, 6 months MOTs. This is the 700cc turbo 80bhp version with auto/semi-auto gearbox, and electric roof. I have the service history since my ownership April 2013.

In April 2015 the engine was rebuilt and parts subject to wear and tear replaced. The turbo is also brand new from April 2015. The work was done by Southern Engine Services in London.

Unlike many Roadsters I?ve seen this one is waterproof. The previous owner appears to have added some sealant and it has not let water in. This model has the soft-top convertible roof and the mounts for the bracing bars are present in the front boot.

The car has had 4 previous owners and I have maintained the Continental Premium Contact 2 tyres which have lots of tread still left. This Roadster drives well and the MOT has no advisories. I?m currently selling due to not needing it since moving to London and due to the recent engine rebuild it should be free of major maintenance for another 30,000 miles, hence the ?3200 I?m asking for it.

Unfortunately this certainly isn?t the tidiest example around and there are a few tatty elements to it: some corner panels have areas of peeling paint, the front left indicator is cracked (not an MOT failure), some light mold is on the soft-top, and the air con doesn?t work. Aside from that it?s been a really fun car to own and it?s taken me a long time to decide to sell it!

If you?d like to arrange a view please leave a message and I'll get back to you. If you are serious about buying it I will need to see a copy of your insurance certificate for other cars.

    • We ended up getting a large garden shed for our build, it did the job and kept it after to store the garden and sports stuff. If you need off site storage, most of the storage companies do introductory offers, such as £1 for first month and its generally cheaper to book this online to avoid the admin fee - check the small print as most charge a lock fee and compulsory insurance fees. Consider how often you'll need to access your items as the cost is generally higher for more accessible storage where you can visit as you please, such as Suregard and Big Yellow, and cheaper for the companies where you fill a storage container and they take it away to a remote storage location. Hope this helps

He is professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Leon took the time to explain what needed doing, worked efficiently, and left everything neat and tidy. It’s rare to find someone so committed to quality work and customer satisfaction – highly recommend Leon for any electrical needs!
