The Good Doctor will be appearing again under Peckham Arch with his well-equipped tool box, his capacious knowledge of all things bike, his good humour and his enormous capacity for hard work. With him will be various almost equally talented assistants. Together they will be fixing brakes, indexing gears, raising saddles, and generally making life better all round. Find them under the Arch (between Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse) from 5.30-7.30pm.

All free and all welcome. Also free and available will be cycling maps, leaflets and gossip. Sadly, no coffee

  I just want to add another recommendation for Jan and Silver Fern Landscapes. He and his team recently replaced one of our fences that was falling apart and did a great job. Communication was really good and Jan was really helpful with advice on options - he was also really accommodating as I wanted to paint the fence panels before they were installed so he arranged delivery early so I had time to do that.   The good news is that the Blythe's new leaseholder is Austin Whelan, who runs a chain of very decent Irish pubs, mainly in south London. By all accounts, he has no intention of making any major changes. It reopened last week.

  A builder said that to me once! What I should have said (but thought of it too late) was that given that I was paying him to do a job, I expected that my glass would be full, not half full 🤣 But yes, you are right in this instance!
