August meeting

Our topic this month is 'Planets'. Seek out some poems to read to the group or, if you're feeling shy, someone else will read them for you. Ours is an informal group, where we share our love of poetry every first Friday of the month.

Meetings are from 2 - 3.30pm in Dulwich Library hall.

We are a well-established group, having had over a hundred meetings, but new members are always most welcome.

  • 2 months later...
The next meeting of the group will be on Friday 4th November, from 2 until 3.30pm, upstairs in the library hall. Our subject will be Birthdays and Anniversaries. Bring some poems you'd like to share with the group - you can even get one of us to read them aloud, if you're feeling shy. The group has been thriving for many years, but we are always delighted to welcome new members, too.

I've had one for the last two years and they've been great (lasting well, too).  You can order here - all pofots goes to the school https://www.pta-events.co.uk/fotcsed/   Edited to add: orders close 02 Dec for pickup 07 Dec
    • Labours head of communications really should be advising Kier better.  We've had, so far, the budget will be bad, we've inherited a 20 billion black hole, the NHS is broken, and today "Britain isn't working" in relation to jobs and apprenticeships  Whilst honesty is a good thing, there are better ways of wording things Negativity drives negativity in situations like this, especially in business and businesses are what labour requires to grow the economy and offer jobs to the unemployed.  It does feel like Captain Kier has turned into Private Frazer crying  "we're all doomed"
