Forest Hill - new lamp-posts - installed by a drunkard??

I was walking along Dartmouth Road this morning (the road that runs from the south circ up past Forest Hill Pools), and noticed that new street lighting lamp-posts have appeared this week (it was up towards the FH Pools that I noticed).

This must be the shoddiest job I have ever seen. Some are on the left of the footpath. Some are in the middle (yes, the middle) of the footpath. Some are on the right. Completely haphazard, looks like there has been no planning whatsoever.

Whoever was responsible for this should be shot. The lamp-posts should be removed and installed in more sensible positions.Perhaps an odd thing to get worked up about, but once you see them you'll understand!

Haven't seen them but I'm intrigued by your description - can you post a photo?

I didn't have my phone with me on friday, but will snap some photos next time I'm up there. Seriously ridiculous! If this had happened on LL there would be uproar.

Had a look up from Barclays - clearly it didn't strike me as unusual

You need to go a bit further down than Barclays, around the pool area.

I'm with you bobbsy, that's annoying. And now I will notice every time I go to the pool.

Thanks miga. It just seems really odd, and it is annoying. Would have thought there was a town planning standard for things like this?
