I'm very happy to add my recommendation for Afia and his brother. I was ripped off and messed around by another local plumbing firm, and contacted Aria on the basis of the recommendations in this thread. He came round to look at my shower pump exactly when agreed, advised me what needed to be done, and came back with his brother this afternoon. They installed a new shower pump, and everything is working perfectly. Aria took great care to check that everything was working properly and that I was happy with the work carried out, and he also checked the street stopcock before he left. His charge was reasonable, and he and his brother were both incredibly pleasant and courteous. Aria recommended an electrician to change the wiring for the shower pump before he came back today, who was also extremely efficient and helpful. I won't hesitate to use Aria again.
I've used AFE Plumbing a few times recently when updating some of the plumbing on house including fitting new pipe work for washing machine and installing a new basin and pedestal in the bathroom. Aria is very easy to deal with and always calls after the job has been completed to ensure everything is OK. Nothing extortionate about their pricing and I will be using them for future maintenance on rented property. And for the record I only pay by BACs once invoice received.
Have used AFE plumbing again today. They came and fixed my heating problem quickly and efficiently and charged a fair and reasonable price. I would recommend Aria and his guys for all plumbing problems and will definitely use them again myself in the future...
I have used A.F.E twice now and no complaints here. They are always quick to come round, prompt on arrival, very polite, tidy up after themselves, and as a single female living alone I always feel totally comfortable with them being here. Will use again.

I also just wanted to personally recommend Aria from AFE Plumbing. We've used him before for replacing a faulty shower pump and we were extremely satisfied with his work.

I contacted him earlier this week about replacing a leaking waste trap on our kitchen sink. I'd actually started to do the work myself but was having a few difficulties. He was great. He gave me a quote for doing the work but he also kindly offered advice on what parts I needed to do the job myself and where to purchase them from. With his advice I was able to finish the job myself and save myself some money.

Thanks again Aria! Much appreciated. We'll definitely use AFE Plumbing in the future and have no hesitation recommending them.

I also want to recommend Aria from AFE. I emailed him with photos of the problem and although he didn't respond as quickly as usual, he did when I reminded him. I have always found Aria really helpful, prompt and reasonable. I've never had any problems with the work that's been done. There's certainly no problem about him being "just around the corner". Might be too quick for some if they're still in their dressing gown.....

I can also vouch A.F.E Plumbing Services. We needed a new toilet installed which proved to be problematic due to the type of old plumbing we had, Aria was incredibly helpful from the beginning with advice on the best solution. He and his brother went out of their way on the day fixing some unforeseen issues and did a great job resolving these. They left everything neat and tidy on leaving and we were very satisfied with the job.

Overall they were highly professional and easy to deal with and I would definitely recommend and use them again when needed.

These guys are great. Friendly, helpful and efficient, reasonably priced, and best of all they communicate! They solved a mixer shower problem with a ?13.99 part when another plumber had said the bath needed to come out and the job was too big for them to handle etc. I've used AFE twice now for urgent problems in our rental flats and they will be my first port of call for future issues.
Aria was one of several plumbers I called when there was an emergency repair needed in my rental flat. Although busy that day, he offered to pop over and check it out in the first instance so we had a more realistic idea of the problem. Then was able to do the repair at the end of the day. He kept me informed on the end of the phone, and sent me a detailed breakdown of costs afterwards. Aria asked me (once) to recommend him on EDF afterwards, which I'm happy to do as it was a good service provided.
Texted Aria to fit some new taps, and we fixed a date very quickly. He sent his colleague Ken round, who turned up at the appointed time and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Invoice was as quoted. Aria followed up with me shortly afterwards to check everything was ok. Would have no hesitation recommending this company.

I woke up early in the morning on Wednesday to find water coming through the bathroom ceiling from a leaking water tank, mopped up, and got a bowl to catch the leak. I rang Aria at about 10 am and he sent Dan round within half an hour. He did an excellent job again, and arranged for a handyman to come round to cut out a new, larger loft hatch so that a new water tank could be fitted. Dan came back a while later and connected everything up; he called again this morning to check that all was well, and sorted out an airlock which had formed overnight. Aria has since phoned to make sure that everything is working properly. The job was carried out at a reasonable cost, and I am so grateful for the very prompt and friendly service. It's very reassuring to know that there is always a reliable plumber available who will come out quickly when needed and who doesn't overcharge.

Another recommendation for A.F.E Plumbing. Had a badly blocked pipe that was leaking, causing the electrics in the communal hallway to burn out. Texted Aria and he sent Dan round to me at the earliest opportunity to take a look and give me a (very reasonable) quote. The issue was sorted very quickly and professionally. Would definitely use A.F.E Plumbing again for any plumbing issues.

Highly recommend.

Another great reccomendation for AFE Plumbers. I had an issue with my washing machine and Dan came over and within an hour was able to help with the issue and eventually fix the problem. I will definitely be using them again and can highly recommended them. Professional, friendly and affordable.

AFE Plumbing have just finished my complete bathroom renovation including moving toilet location, tiling and new shower installation. I found them originally through this as well as other local forums and so am grateful for all the posts - I am in SE26 and dont use this site really at all.

I found similar to all the positive reviews that it was a pleasure to work with Aria, Dan and Ken. The process worked just as how others describe them - the communication was excellent throughout, Aria took on board everything I said, and was forthcoming about actioning any amendments that were needed as we went along. The project took 3 weeks in total but the guys were very thoughtful about ensuring the basics continued to work as much as possible in that time. Any day they were not present at the property I was informed and it was usually for things such as letting plaster etc dry.

To do this kind of job in an old Victorian house with the usual quirks well on a budget was no mean feat. I asked for quality work with extra care taken that I wont have issues down the line and through their explanations of how they approached things I am confident this is the case. Aria also takes pride in providing a local service so after many months of quick responsive text messages about all aspects of the process, I am confident he would be at the end of the phone if needed.

I highly recommend them for larger scale jobs such as this. As I said I dont use this site but would happy to be contacted to verify the post - it is my pleasure to do this review for an excellent, local company.

As a happy client I'm echoing much of Marie2018's post above...

Aria and the AFE Plumbing team recently re-plumbed, plastered, tiled, installed new basin/bath/loo, painted and floored my bathroom after was completely gutted to deal with extensive dry rot. The treatment (not done by AFE) was an extremely stressful experience, after which Aria's concern at getting the repairs and redecoration right for me was a breath of fresh air.

I paid exactly what he quoted for the job, which I think was very reasonable - plus materials, of course, for which he provided advance warning and receipts. There were costs that I hadn't expected, mostly due to the knock-on effects of the rot damage, but he outlined all the options for what needed to be done and worked with my choices. There was a slight hiccup resulting from an error made by one of the team but they were up-front about it and resolved the issue without fuss. I'm very happy with the final results.

AFE also re-did my kitchen (again, for a reasonable quote), parts of which were affected by wet rot. I believe this was their first big kitchen project but they've done an excellent job so I'd recommend them for kitchens too. The work involved stripping out the old cabinets, tiles and flooring, then plastering & painting, a new sink & plumbing, tiling, installation of flat-pack wall/base units & worktop and new vinyl flooring, while handling all the odd angles, uneven surfaces and surprise holes found in the typical Victorian property.

They identified issues with the electrical circuits which I suspected but hadn't got round to dealing with, and brought in an electrician who sorted them out and installed a new fusebox. The boiler also had some problems, which their gas engineer contact resolved without my having to get a new one. Both engineers were properly accredited, gave fair quotes and supplied certificates after the work. Again, I was kept informed about charges for materials and extra work in advance.

I appreciated Aria's daily updates on the work as I had to move out for the whole treatment and restoration process, also his patience in answering my questions during the works and following up afterwards. And I had complete confidence in the rest of the team, both when I was around and when I wasn't: Aria and Dan for the plumbing, the plasterer whose name I can't remember, Mark for tiling, installation of the kitchen units, flooring and some of the painting, Miles the electrician, Adam the gas engineer, John Wayne(!) for replacement of the laminate flooring in the hall and two other rooms, plus new skirting boards and painting - not forgetting Arron who cheerfully removed all the rubbish for (responsible) disposal. All thoroughly pleasant, hard-working people.

A.F.E Plumbing Services: 07739 734895

Aria and his team have helped me with 2 plumbing issues at my house, they were polite, professional, fast and reasonably priced. In addition, I had a heating issue over Christmas and Aria put me onto his specialist who came over Boxing Day and finished the job on the following day at an extremely affordable price.

Really nice guys to deal with who do a great job at a good price. What more could you want?!

I messaged Aria just below 11 last night as we have no hot water or heating, I?m working tomorrow so hoped to book him in for after work. As he had a colleague free, we arranged for him to come immediately, radiators drained and all sorted by midnight. Very very reasonable too. Highly recommended.

We have used A.F.E Plumbing Services for a couple of jobs now; they did our bathroom and have fixed

different leaks - all at reasonable prices. Aria is really easy to deal with, keeps you updated with the progress and always makes time for you. He even goes out of the way to recommend people if he can't take the job, or if the services are out of his remit.

No hesitation in recommending him.

I would also like to recommend Aria & his team. I have used AfE Plumbing in the past & didn?t hesitate to contact them again this time round. I messaged Aria & he was very quick to respond & arranged for Danny to come based on my availability. Danny was quick to identify the problem with my toilet & collected the parts the same day so it could be fixed. I also had my boiler serviced by Adam & he identified some problems that other people have failed to find! Danny even spotted that my extractor fan wasn?t working properly & recommended an electrician to me. Another happy customer:)

    • I'm not in a bubble - if you read my post it says supportive of food bank info and community group info etc on the ED station board, where broad mix pass by when using train/bus/on foot. You're judging me but I can assure you I probably do FAR more for the local community than someone like you who simply posts something unhelpful in response to a conversation piece, asking for more opinions. Of course I know not everyone is middle class, I am working class worked up to middle class etc etc. I support various local groups, raise money for charity, give money to charity, give to foodbanks... the whole shebang. All I am saying is that there are ALSO other people who are interested in looking at the noticeboard for small business info around the area. Small businesses definitely need support and often make low profits and rely on advertising in places like these noticeboards. I'm entitled to an opinion and I am very honest, unlike some who want to say the right thing but if you question yourself what do YOU actually do for the good of others? Yes you may be Mother Teresa but my guess is... you aren't 😉 It is now fixed...
    • I think there is possibly a “broken windows syndrome” to these kind of boards: you know the idea that a broken window left untouched will give the impression that nobody cares, so encourages more vandalism? If boards are not maintained and the notices are way out of date it gives off that vibe. North Cross Road is a Southwark council licensed market, so does it not have a council employee in charge of it? Someone who arranges pitches and payments etc. If so, surely they would be the person to take responsibility? It only needs somebody to keep it clean and charge the posters regularly. Perhaps this can be suggested to the Goose Green councillors; it’s not my ward.
    • Exactly. I complained about them being broken for around 2 YEARS and they were repaired autumn (?) last year but only today when I emailed the councillor did he say he had "just received keys". I have no objection to a mix of community groups etc using the board but surely it should be open to all? Including local businesses, many of whom rely on word of mouth or boards like this - they don't often make much profit so it's great to support local business owners. It's not really my own interest as I am not a business owner... I am just reflecting what I would like to see - that I admit - as per my original post. p.s. the noticeboards I am talking about are empty - not used by anyone as the councillor has the key! Watch my words. They will be updated yearly if that and the info will go out of date. Last time the Northcross Rd one ended up with local councillor contact details, community centre contacts (useful I agree) and random flyers. Someone broke the glass and that was it for several years until I constantly emailed and James Barber - wonderful former councillor for the area - proactively supported, and we now have it fixed and a new one near ED station...
    • Voluntary organisations are probably not making use of the boards any more because of the state they are in. To the best of my knowledge a small number of people had keys originally, but I have no idea who has them now. I imagine it is going to take a fair amount of time to get all this properly up and running again, and then properly maintained.
