Primary School Teachers...HELP!!!

Dear All,

I am due to start a PGCE at Southbank University in September. I have just found out that for the first week we have to organise a placement in a primary school observing a class; the dates would be 6th-10th September (a bit tricky being the 1st week of term). Are there any teachers/parents in the area that think their school might be able to help me???

I would be grateful for any help/suggestions!

look this may be too obvious - but try ringing round your local schools now - maybe offering to come in for a visit. Don't leave it too long it all gets very busy nearer the end of term.

You should phone a school and ask to speak with a student placement coordinator. They are use to dealing with requests and sort out requests for the next academic year now....is the case in my school. Not in ED area though but am sure is similar.
