I too was quite weepy (gordon and kids. And also at the prospect of a conservative gov. And also poor samatha having to stand there in those heels whilst bearing bump!) Going back to gordon and his leaving performance, I thought it was so lovely and grand but I also thought to myself 'oh my god would i take the chance that they behave???"

Clearly a person in the know, bumpy - got any good goss?!

Actually I was in John Lewis yesterday, and I have to say, I love that place. I normally avoid the high street at all costs, but there is something very easy and comforting about that store. Their kids stuff is actually not too heinous (I know I shouldn't assume it would be), and they stock a few more 'niche' labels like Green Baby and Organics for Kids.

Incidently, although I like the 'She's always a woman ad', it hadn't made me cry. But, I heard the original Billy Joel song on the radio the other morning and immediately blubbed! It's Billy Joel......'Just the way you are' has the same effect.

Poor old, Gord, hopefully he'll be spending more time with his kids - didn't realise they were so young. Old Sam aint going to be getting much help from hubby.....I wouldn't be happy. PM or not, I'd be on the phone at 5pm saying - "Any idea of what time you may be leaving", shortly followed by getting in a grand old huff!

Ha - I had much the same thought re Sam in her heels - said to my hubby - "her feet must be killing her in those heels with that bump, and he's not likely to be there for the birth is he".

I guess as it is their 4th she will be better placed to just get on with it, but even so......

    • So posh chicken then. Shame then that the supply of chicken is going to become harder to acquire and more expensive through the increased prevalence of bird flu
    • Well yes, never heard those terms or used, so it was a case of googling to find out what they mean. Others may know or be acquainted with those activities on here???
    • It's complicated, the Dulwich Estate own the freehold of the land and Southwark Council are responsible for Belair Park, presumably on a lease.  In the 80s the house was sold, presumably on a long lease, to quite a famous chef whose name I forget!
    • Thanks, it was another mother who found it, and went around the playground asking people before leaving it at the café, so she should take the credit. I suggested posting here, but she's not on the EDF so I offered.. hope it gets reunited with it's owner.. from the look of it it will be missed.
