Postal delivery

Hello, has anyone received any post this week? I've been waiting for some important mail which I know was posted on Monday first class, but I've not had any deliveries. Also, I've not seen the postie doing his / her round at all.

You could ask at the delivery office if there's been anything affecting deliveries to your road eg sickness which couldn't be covered?

Yes- go and ask at the delivery office because a couple of months ago some people had no post because a postie was assaulted by a low-life scumbag in this area- also if your post is there you can collect it-

No I'm still waiting for a package that was sent through Amazon and still hasn't arrived ?!

Yes, had a few days without post, incl an Amazon delivery that finally arrived yesterday 4 days later than expected.

The 'regular as clockwork, same postie' has changed to new faces and an erratic service over the last few weeks or so.

Holidays and/ or sickness can alter rotas. As can staffing problems such as recruitment. Always worth checking if you can at the sorting office - often they can let you know is there is a problem on your route.

Most Amazon parcels are now delivered by amazon's own delivery service instead of Royal Mail.

Same problem here! Got a big bundle yesterday all bound with rubber bands, so quite obvious it had been piling up.

I work locally and we've just had about a week's worth delivered at once, despite getting dribs and drabs in every day.

There's currently a high level of sickness, so several rounds are going out in the afternoon on overtime and even the office manager delivered my mail today due to lack of staff.

I wondered why my lovely postman was suddenly delivering mail late afternoon instead of early morning but he is always very focussed and I don't care as long as I get mail!
