Tell me about it. I wonder when the next one will be.

I?m waiting for the ?A Libdem just raped my Labrador? or ?Nick Clegg is a Satanist, I have proof? threads.

davidh.. come, let us stand together now - and sing the Polish national anthem..

A one-a, a two-a, a one-two-three-four..

Jeszcze Polska nie zginela,

Kiedy my zyjemy.

Co nam obca przemoc wziela,

Szabla odbierzemy.

CHORUS

Marsz, marsz, Dabrowski,

Z ziemi wloskiej do Polski,

Za twoim przewodem

Zlaczym sie z narodem.

Przejdziem Wisle, przejdziem Warte,

Bedziem Polakami,

Dal nam przyklad Bonaparte,

Jak zwyciezac mamy.

CHORUS

Jak Czarniecki do Poznania

Po szwedzkim zaborze,

Dla ojczyzny ratowania

Wracal sie przez morze.

I notice DavidH that you neatly sidestepped this question. Is the answer too embarrassing, perchance?

I can categorically state no paid delivery of East Dulwich ward Lib Dem literature.

Its all been delivered by really kind helpful volunteers and the candidates including Jonathan Mitchell.

We're all experts on how horrid vertical letter boxes, dogs that head butt the front door, low down letterboxes really are. We find gates with a spring that make a rackets after 9am when after a hards days work at the regular job we're trying to catch up with our deliveries without disturbing people are alarming.

Paying for deliveries mean you have less money for printing and staying within the election limits. You also have to raise the money which for Lib Dems means relatively small donations from members.

Now, what do we suppose Lord Ashcroft's multi millions has all gone on?

Tess Jowell has a slight ?20,000 pa advantage in the form of her MP's Communications Allowance + free postage and packing for letters to remind people she once replied to a letter from someone.

Apologies for grumpiness. I'm exhausted from delivering election leaflets.

Why don?t you and ruffers get a room.

Cool. Nice to see the new local nutter is not going to be a one-thread wonder. Stick around Kev - you're entertaining, if nothing else.

Hang on a moment - is this *really* KD? First, not slavishly haunting his own thread and then he comes on here and forms a complete sentence, properly spelt and punctuated. I smell a rat!

Oh, hang on... the question mark missing. It's KD. Phew.

I see you like quoting out of context as well, so for the rest of the reader.

Why don?t you and ruffers get a room.

I got a ballot card through the post a few days ago - was addressed fully and looked official .. apart from the Labour Rose and the photo of Mad Hetti on the top. The instruction on the ballot card was to report to the Labour Party representative on arrival at the polling station. WTF?

Ah - I got a 'Good Morning' one from the Lib Dems. I wouldn't mind but it's a bit hazardous first thing in the morning while carrying newborn bleary-eyed down the stairs to find unexpected paper (banana skin-esque) on the wooden floor.

No diff to all the pizza/curry menus though so not a deal breaker...

I'm going to feel sooo unpopular tomorrow. I guess the result will give me something else to worry about though.

    • I would check that you have in fact been switched over to paying on usage rather than the old fixed rate system with an annual increase. We had a meter installed 18 months ago but had to request paying on metered consumption.
    • Does anyone know if the above is taking place this year. Can't seem to find it mentioned anywhere?   Simon
    • Hello, with the weather improving, I thought I would flag up the free access to leisure centres in southwark. 1. If you are experiencing poor mental and physical health and live in the borough, the GP exercise referral service allows up to three months of free use of leisure centers. There are three levels of support, and you can even refer yourself. read more for more info: Kickstart, Active Boost and Cardiactive - Everyone Health Southwark   2. If you don't have challenges with physical ands mental health, you can access the free swim and gym for a year. for more info: Free swim & gym eligibility requirements – Leisure Facilities in Southwark 3. Are you a blue badge holder? you can apply for the AD Permit, a virtual payment which allows disabled drivers to part on single and double yellow lines without the need of displaying a blue bae in the windscreen. there is also information for disabled residents to use the Low Traffic Neighborhood (LTNs) around the borough.  Exemptions for Blue Badge holders | Southwark Council Want more information? use the councils website: www.southwark.gov.uk
    • I am about to tomorrow. I only just realised after asking some neighbours today. Agreed that smaller households should of course pay less, like discounted council tax bills for those on benefits for example. However as our bills have gone up astronomically generally in the last few years, I do feel hardworking families are being penalised... also avid gardeners will be penalised in the summer when gardens are watered no doubt.
