For Sale: Oxelo Town 9 Easyfold Adult Scooter ! *?75*

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody,

I am sad to say that I'm finally getting around to selling my adult scooter as I have a new job which requires me to drive to work (how boring..). The scooter was purchased last winter, but I genuinely only used it sporadically for my commute for around 2 months before landing this new job.

It is in great condition - here are some of its benefits:

- It handles uneven paving slabs like a treat thanks to its suspension

- It brakes well even in the rain (with handlebar brake which is super easy)

- It is one of very few adult scooters that go tall enough for someone over 170cm (I am 178cm tall). But obviously it would also suit somebody shorter.

- Its very light so easy to carry, but most of the time (when navigating through Charing Cross) I pulled it behind me on the back wheel like a suitcase which is so easy.

- It fits between your legs even when stuffed onto a South Eastern train

- The handle bars detach, fold down and clip onto the sides of the main bar so that you don't poke your fellow commuters.

- It folds up in like a second, its brilliant. Quite the head turner on the station platform.

- You can un-fold it in just as little time using one hand and your foot.

- It comes with a strap so you can have it on your shoulder if you wish.

- Box included if you like.

- I thought it would be a hassle in central London (due to all the pedestrians), but I used to zoom from Charing Cross, through Soho and up to Holborn in 10 mins. It also has a bell, which can come in handy.

* Added bonus: You'll probably make other scooter commuter friends.

Its RRP was ?124.99 from Decathlon.. but I am selling for ** ?75 ** !

Let me know if interested, it really does make the commute so much more fun.

    • I believe that Crown Post Offices are normally owned by the Post Office, and are frequently in valuable high street sites, so I would not be surprised if their sale value (or rentals to be derived if not sold) would be enticing, particularly for those offices running at slim or no profit margins. Happy to be proven wrong, of course.
    • The name has got a 50s feel about it so in my mind it’s for older people who have very specific concerns. Nothing wrong with that.
    • There is also one for Goose green https://www.police.uk/pu/your-area/metropolitan-police-service/goose-green/?yourlocalpolicingteam=your-team Disclaimer: only passing on what I have found by searching. No involvement in organising it.
    • It is a challenge.  These sorts of services are increasingly expensive to deliver as fewer and fewer people use them.  Most people don't want to have to go back to using their lunch hour to queue up at the bank or Post Office.  So the options  are - reduce the service, make it more expensive or the tax payer subsidises it.
