I've seen a few "famous" people in ED.. unfortunately "That guy from that program.. you know the funny one!" or "him that did that thing with wossername" don't really come across well on a forum !

(there was the old geezer from Who's line is it anyway ..wossisname? Stephen Frost! seen him a couple of times)

However, not ED but quite a few mornings when I walk from Kings Cross St Pancras to Camden road I'll get a nod from Simon Callow ;) He usually looks very gruff so I never make to stop him but give him the knowing "I know who you are but don't want to disturb you" smile ;)

Is there a statute of limitations on the spottage?

I bumped into Paul Slack the former bass player of the UK Subs in the Herne Tavern about 20 years ago.

Though as I used to work with him in the Boots in Clapham Junction when we were schoolkids it might not count.

So just ignore me if you want.

I think they DID get photo approval. I think they think they look just lovely. I'm an adoptive parent and I must say that the Elton John baby story proves that you CAN buy children.

The most famous person I have met is Paul Yarrow alias 'The News Raider'(Known by the press all over the World from the United States,Canada,Malaysia,Japan,China,Austrailia,New Zealand,South Africa,Germany,Italy,Spain,Greece,Turky,France,Sweeden,United Kingdom,Ireland etc),for his passive media protest against the discrimination of overweight people etc by appearing on live news broadcasts across the World like BBC1,BBC3,ITV,Channel 4,Alja zera T.V,Fr1,C.B.S,ABC etc, etc. Sadly Paul has had a recent bereavement loosing his mother to cancer. She was diagnosed early, but sadly no prevention, she was told by a consultant that she had several years to go.Three months later she was back at King's College Hospital were she was offered pallative Care and she died three weeks later.Paul is suspicious about his mother's sudden death and about private decisions made by consultants behind closed doors. He plans to go to the Independent Complaints Commission,Patients Complaints etc,etc and the anti-euthenasia charity 'Care Not Killing',Paul also plans to go Pensioners Campaigns and Age Concern and Local Involvement Networks to raise issues. This is not the first time he has raised issues with King's. It is good to find people like him raising these valid issues.

    • We recently used Peter Vasco for a full kitchen, bathroom refit, and couldn’t be happier with the result and wall knock through. From start to finish he was professional, reliable, and really easy to work with. Communication was clear throughout, they turned up when they said they would, and kept everything tidy as they went. The quality of the workmanship is brilliant, all the pipework is neat, the fittings are solid, and everything was completed to a high standard. They also gave helpful advice along the way and solved a few unexpected issues without any fuss.
    • We are seeing the visible return of the Old Boy Network which Johnson and Cameron before him are part of, they looked after the OBN's interests and were in turn protected by it despite their incompetence. And Farage. Those who are not a part of it e.g. Starmer and Reeves, even Truss (deservedly so) are thrown to the dogs. We've been so caught up with race and gender politics we've failed to see the re-emergence of the 'ruling class'.
    • I totally disagree. If you listen to the Guardian podcast, which speaks with the reporter and one of those on the receiving end of Farage’s abuse, it is very balanced and credible. It is also notable that we have a letter written in 1981 by an English teacher at DC, begging the head teacher not to allow farage to become a school prefect due to his ‘fascist tendencies’. That is contemporaneous evidence of his racism at the time.
    • There used to be a computer repair place in Bassano Street is it still there> Anyone know of a computer tech person who will come to house to repair/update PCs? I was recommended someone from EDF many years ago who came and installed all the programmes on my new PC.
