Steve I agree with Clare... hang in there

It's all new to me too having just moved around here after 26 years in North London (no booing please!) but it's good for finding out what's going on and has been really helpful in finding somewhere to live.

oh, and saw Emily Joyce in Sainsburys - she is one of those intriguing natural beauties... well I think so (google comes in handy at this point!)

I have seen Gavin & Stacey's Staecy loads of times now, Sophie from Peep show a few times, Phil Mitchell's bird from Eastenders in Sainsbury's and also Tobias Menzies in Cafe Nero, Menzies is in Spooks, was in Casino Royale, Rome ect... and I had not seen him before.

I am still waiting to see Mr Nesbitt & Ms Brand !

Don't watch Eastenders but my inlaws do so I recognised Shirley from Eastenders in Sainsburys, Dog Kennel a few times.

Also spotted James Nesbitt about a hundred times around the place, also Lorraine Chase in and around Dul Village. Also Jenny Eclair in Barclays Bank in Camberwell about a year ago.

Couple of weeks ago was coming out of Brixton tube and spotted a well-known actor but can't think of his name.

I'm sure he's been in Eastenders and other programmes for around 20 odd years. If I was shown a picture with a name I could place him. He looks like the actor in Emmerdale whos been around for years and wears the black choker.

Pretty sure he doesn't live in the area but queued behind John McCririck in Londis today buying beer and pancakes, informing the shopkeeper that his facial hair was "a huge turn-on for birds" and that he would "s**t on the doorstep" of shopkeepers who didn't respect him. What a guy.

The John McCririck (or however it is spelled) post made me laugh. You wouldn't expect anything less. How disappointing if he'd have actually been well-mannered.

We seem to do well round these 'ere parts for 'serious' actors, comediennes etc, but what about pure 'Heat' type 'celebs'? You know trashy glam types - or is ED not that kind of 'hood?

The Cheeky Girls! Pure reality TV gold. Definitely Heat worthy and definitely the best celeb spot so far in my book.

That could only be trumped by Kerry Katona - long shot, but anyone seen her - do you think she could be enticed here with an Iceland platter?

Kate Ford is indeed a genuinely lovely girl. And she's not always on the phone. She's always happy, down to earth and makes a good cup of tea ;-)

Have seen the actor Adrian Lester a few times, once in Locale when it was still the Green - he's lovely and very handsome.

James Nesbitt at Browell Lido a few times over the years.

The interior designer off Changing Rooms who used to say "I think it looks really, really nice..."...what was her name? Not sure she really counts as famous.

Oh, and Alex Kingston used to live on Goose Green don't you know, pre Hollywood days of course.

Molly

I used to work with Gerrard Butler after my Dad employed him as a trainee lawyer. Gerry and I used to sneak out for a pint at the Conan Doyle and talk about girls. He left to take up acting at 28 and I didn't see him untill 5 years later when his chiselled torso graced a huge billboard on Times Square. The whole thing is a bunch of bollocks. But I'm secretly hoping for a party invite in LA sometime soon. Unlikely I think...

i saw bob hoskins when they were making the long good friday the first couple of

minnutes were shot in landells rd and the alleyway where the music shop is opposite

darrel rd on upland rd near where the old police station used to be in the 70;s

if this qualifies

    • Indeed ianr, I didn't have time to include all Royal Mail options, thanks for that extra bit, they have been spot on for me, I use them a lot and have never had any issues with delivery, touch wood!
    • People are switching to electric cars irrespective of fuel prices.  100s of millions that could be spent on hospitals and schools for example have been lost due to fuel duty freezes and a supposedly temporary reduction.  Fuel is relatively cheap at the moment.  With a stonking majority when is it time to rightly take on motorists? Farming, I simply referred to Paul Johnson of the IFS who knows more about the economy that you, I and Truss will ever know. Food?  Au contraire.  It's too cheap, too poor quality and our farmers are squeezed by the supermarkets and unnatural desire to keep it cheap.  A lot less takeaways and more home cooking with decent often home produced, food should benefit most in our society. Be honest you do t like Labour.
    • In fact there was a promotional leaflet came through the letter box today, for sending by RM's parcel post by buying online.  There are also options mentioned for having the labels printed  at a Collect+ store or at a Parcel Locker.  More info at https://www.royalmail.com/.
    • Is it? Let's see  Farming is a tough gig with increasingly lower returns, if farms have to sell off land to pay inheritance tax it will reduce their ability to survive. Which in real terms could mean more farm land lost and more reliance on imported food which sees money flowing out, not in to the country.  But I guess as long as you get cheap food that doesn't concern you 😉  Lol "what about the cars"  again Mal... like a broken record....  Governments know that squeezing car drivers for more fuel duty will drive down income from taxes as people switch to electric, which would leave them with a black hole in income. Guess the fuel duty is a fine balancing act tiĺl enough electric cars have been sold to raise tax revenue from their use.
