Jeremy
I really think an apology - or very convincing rebuttal - is in order. If we get that, and the good feedback continues, then I'm sure I'll give it a go... rendelharris
The missing menu on the website is a real blunder - I was looking forward to this opening but not having as large an entertainment budget as I'd like I'm a bit chary of booking without knowing a rough cost or what I might get to eat. If the nice gent who was on here before is still looking I'd say that's a bit of an essential! Jeremy
Rendell, looking at their Twitter, I think they're on a reduced "soft opening" menu at the moment. I'm sure once they're doing their full menu, they will include it on the website. TheCat
Must still be in 'soft' opening mode, as Mrs Cat tried to check it out for lunch yesterday and it was closed. The 'fake' review looks like an attemp to perhaps influence internet searches (seo) not just the EDF, as I've seen the exact same review on the hot dinners website. DulwichFox
A new restaurant opens in your area.. What is the first thing you do ? Yes.. You have a look at their Website.. Where are they.. ? What's on offer.. ? Prices.. ? When are the open.. ? No website so you pop down to have a look and find it.. Oh it's Closed.. New businesses need to get a basic website up and running BEFORE they open. Keep their potential customers informed. Not having a website gives the impression that they do not intend to be around for long.. Like they are just testing the water. ?The Spinach 'concept' seems a good one that could do well. Just keep us informed.. I'm sure you will.DulwichFox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/111014-161-lordship-lane-le-chandelier/page/3/#findComment-1061485 Share on other sites
Seabag
I liked the menu I saw last nite, but they were closed.I'm defo going, and i'm turning a blind eye to 'that review' Yes, an improved web presence is needed Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/111014-161-lordship-lane-le-chandelier/page/3/#findComment-1061514 Share on other sites
titch juicy
Menu online is essential, surely?Do they have a website? Google only returned a twitter feed and I clicked through on a link from their twitter and my browser wouldn't take me there warning of malware.Twitter apologies for erratic opening hours, but back to normal hours from tomorrow- which it seems are just breakfast to lunch, with no evening openings. Jeremy
It works for me, titch. But there's nothing on it apart from a short introduction and a link to book a table via Quandoo. Jeremy
Haddock with daal and spinach - ?13.50. Lamb meatballs - ?14.50. Cod with mussels/clams/stuff - ?15.50.Yes it's more expensive than curry/pizza/etc, but not exactly high end. *Bob*
Let's be realistic about current prices of food these days: a takeaway from most of our high street Injuns costs ?11. A few quid more for a main course eaten 'in' a restaurant? Come on. Mick Mac
Foxy is a pensioner And as I see with my father in law - as one's capacity to earn more money is gone and your income is no longer increasing (other than perhaps a pension being indexed linked to a low inflation level) it seems that its difficult to understand current pricing, when compared to monthly income. I fully understand this. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/111014-161-lordship-lane-le-chandelier/page/3/#findComment-1061672 Share on other sites
