Recommended Posts

Tomorrow is our big event of the school year ? our Summer Fair - and whether it rains or shines it promises to be a carnival-tastic day. The fair starts at 12 noon and runs until 4pm. There will be all the usual fun games, bouncy castle, gladiator, beat the goalie, face painting and hair braiding, BBQ and International Caf?, finishing off with the ever-wonderful Ping Pong Race down Grove Hill Road.

This year, to celebrate our theme of Brazil and the Olympics, we will have a Capoeira team coming to demonstrate their amazing martial arts skills at around 3pm. We will also have an Olympic Zone obstacle course in the small Reception playground, and the nursery playground will also be full of crafts and games, storytelling and trikes for the younger children.

We are in for a musical treat this year, with performances from each year group. The music begins at around 12.30 with Year 2. The choir performs at 1pm followed by Year 4 Mixed Ensemble, Year 6 Steel Pans, the Brass Band, Year 5 Steel pans. The programme will end with the Year 3 Samba Band, who will joined for a fantastic finale by the South London Samba Band at around 2.30pm.

Southwark?s Mayor and a fire engine will also be coming.

Don?t forget to bring along your completed raffle tickets. You can also buy tickets right up until 3pm. It?s not to be missed for the chance to win one of some 70 wonderful prizes - including an Amazon Tablet, a family season ticket to Dulwich Hamlet FC, and a Mulberry handbag.

You seem not to understand the meaning of "national debt".  Have you perhaps been relying on someone else's usage? I'm sorry to hear of Starmer's decimation.

So I've dug out the url to have another try, this time without embedding:  https://x.com/guyshrubsole/status/1858490339356533018 .  Seems ok.   in reply to my own "Where did you get this from?" response to your post at https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/353788-is-rachel-reeves-becoming-the-new-liz-truss/?do=findComment&comment=1688310, in which you again spoke of the government's "doubling the national debt". The above merging of my posts in response to Sue and to Jazzer have been done by the forum system, so there's no point in my trying again to separate them.  I've already tried editing out the merging and reposting the one to jazzer, but ended up with the same forced merge.  Apologies. Latest edit.  The moral seems to be: don't try making two consecutive posts or they'll be liable to merging.  I've now been able to post a freestanding reply to jazzer's post now that there's an intervening post.
