Is it easy to have say a weekly poll on voting intentions? Might be interesting. Ideally anoymynous and obviously only one vote per registered poster but if it's easy would be good to see if it changed and how near the EDF was to the local result. I really know nothing on how this sort of thing works on a Forum and if it's any hassle then not worth it but just a thought.

I have set one up here http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?12,451859,451859#msg-451859 to try out.

Is this a clear and unambiguous question...

Who will you vote for in the General Election?

Conservative

Green

UKIP

Labour

Liberal Democrat

I was just wondering (and please excuse my ignorance in this respect) how many "others" there in fact are? What I am trying to say is, if the number is relatively small, could you not list them all? It's just that it would be interesting to see how many votes, say, parties like the BNP (and NO I am NOT a supporter!!!) achieve. Just a thought...probably a stupid one, but a thought nevertheless.

Those are the only parties confirmed in the Dulwich and West Norwood constituency, 'others' in this case allows for people outside the area who use the forum however we would like to keep this a local poll.

You can see who the candidates are here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/election2010/results/constituency/b45.stm

Statistically I suspect that the sample is now big enough that from now any sudden or dramatic change (of more than a few percentage points) would suggest either foul play or 'manipulation' (Eg load of new members logging on and voting for a party as part of some strategy), so unless there's a seismic shift out their in the real world (eg Clegg is found to be a murderer)then I'm willing to punt that the Liberal Democrats will be the EDFs choice by some way.

So far all it has shown is that people who dick about on the internet all day* tend to support the Lib Dems.

*This is obviously because they are vastly intelligent and find the various other pressures of their jobs so easy to deal with that they have plenty of free time. Of course it is so let?s leave it at that shall we.

Absolutely - Tories are far more likely to be too busy making money and avoiding taxes; Labourites are far too busy scheming, backstabbing and trying to get their kids into high performing state schools miles from where they live; Liberal Democrats are a bunch of workshy, slackers and dreamers.

I hope the fact that there have been 1700ish views of the poll and only 200ish have participated isn't an indicator of how many will actually bother to vote on Election day.

    • The private sector is not going to build a significant amount of social housing. Everyone is very keen for *everyone else* to subsidise construction of social housing. I take it none of the objectors to this scheme was suggesting putting up council tax so Southwark could build more social housing...? Social housing isn't going to appear in serious numbers if the state doesn't borrow money and build it.
    • They must be really desperate to collab with Tesla. Honestly, it's not even the worst thing they've done. I've noticed these sex events happening in the last few months at a place that's supposed to be a restaurant and venue. I was planning my wedding there and was appalled by the setup for those events. When I discovered what was going on, I was disgusted by how they were using the same rooms as 'playrooms' where families are supposed to eat. The hygiene and safety concerns are just unacceptable. We really need to come together as a community to put a stop to this! They're destroying a sacred, Grade II listed building, and it's just not right. The owners need to be held accountable for their actions. It's time for us to stand up and protect our heritage and ensure that these spaces are used appropriately, especially when they should be serving families and the community.   sex events vid.mp4 sex events videe.mp4
    • yes, which properly explains why they responded to me on this occassion, as i included the CQC in my response. I have spoken to the Health Ombudsman, and they feel the regulator is more suited to the issues I have raise for more than a year now. welcome aboard. its great to have you on the thread. so sorry you are also experiencing issues. has this been addressed as yet?
    • Tbh most Tesla owners are people who are concerned about the environment and have purchased accordingly- but mr nut job has soured their purchasing- so I actually sympathise with them being associated with such an awful man. But to actively promote the company given the knowledge we now know about him makes utterly unacceptable.
