Muhammad Ali was a first and foremost a BLACK MUSLIM, who OPPOSED and RESISTED WHITE SUPREMACY and the western phenomenon of WHITE PRIVILEGE, this is conveniently brushed over by people who want to claim him as a universal hero, he wasn't, he fought against the foundations of what many are now standing on

I think he is a universal hero but I agree that a large part of who he is and his legacy is his passionate fight for black pride and civil rights.
