peckhamboy
Yes, Manor Place up the Walworth Road, or check the Lambeth council website. They have one (for recycling only) in W Dulwich, nr Rosendale Rd. dv1
..but the W Dulwich one is for Lambeth residents only and they often ask for proof of address to stop the Soutwark people going in. Takes much longer to get to Manor Place.Just think up an address in Lambeth and try that if asked. Once in, the guys are usually very helpful. The Rosendale Road tip has all changed since I last used it. It only takes recyclable stuff, for a start. James Barber
Southwark and Lambeth councils have an agreement that residents from each borough can use the others waste/recyclnig centres. Both are close to the others borders. If you have a problem using the Lambeth Rosendale Road site please record the time, date and email me. Ideally aks the Lambeth council officers name. jacklemon
Rosendale Road has never asked me for ID either but they don't let Vans in. The one off Walworth road does allow vans but you need to have ID. Full details of the Walworth Road place are here:Manor Placehttp://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200084/recycling_and_waste/1364/household_waste_reuse_and_recycling_centre/1 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10858-local-rubbish-tip/#findComment-314987 Share on other sites
Musowriter
Thanks, James - this is really helpful - I have wasted a lot of time trying to work out how to take stuff to Manor Place on my way to work as it is so much less convenient than Rosendale Road - I have also asked Southwark to fetch stuff that I could have taken to the Lambeth recycling tip had I known it was allowed. But what can we do with rubbish that can't be recycled? Smiler
Went to the Lambeth Rosendale Road one last weekend and they didn't ask for any info (we were in a car). They don't take plastics, which seemed odd. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10858-local-rubbish-tip/#findComment-315178 Share on other sites
ruthmct
In my experience Manor Place is better organised, with more recycling, and the staff are more helpful than at the Lambeth one. To answer Musowriter, they aren't just for recycling - you can dump virtually anything there. Sue
The Lambeth tip at Rosendale Road is for recycled goods only.Sorry, edited to say I mean, stuff which can be recycled. They won't take anything else. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10858-local-rubbish-tip/#findComment-315426 Share on other sites

ruthmct
I hadn't realised the Lambeth one had changed to recycling only - a bit daft if you've got stuff that isn't recyclable. I went to Manor Place about a month ago, and they definitely take real waste as wellRuth Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10858-local-rubbish-tip/#findComment-316080 Share on other sites
