I am just about to start advertising my three bedroomed house which is within 2 minutes walk of Kent House station and Alexandra Infants School (Ofsted Outstanding).


It is newly renovated and has:

- many original Victorian features

- decent-sized south facing garden

- off street parking for two cars

- large through-reception

- bright and contemporary kitchen/diner at rear

- three double bedrooms

- stylish bathroom and additional WC adjacent

- new contemporary flooring downstairs and new carpets upstairs

- a large loft space with huge openable window and electric points, in case tenants would like to use it as a study or similar


It is a lovely family road and the location is excellent - Kent House trains run every 15 mins to Victoria, Clock House station is roughly 5 mins walk and trains run to London Bridge. Penge West is a 5 min bus ride away - London Overground goes to Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, Islington etc. 10mins walk to Beckenham Spa - loads of family and children's activities here. Also lots of supermarkets nearby - Tesco, Lidl, Aldi, Sainsburys, Waitrose, M&S


I have been advised by five estate agents that I should market the house at ?1900 pcm. I am open to offers if I can save on agents fees. I am ideally looking for a family to make it their home long term!

      This is a recommendation for Damian McGrath of McGrath Plastering.   Damian's work is exceptional. Having now used him for a fourth job (this time plastering a chimney breast and walls either side, including a connected curved chimney vent) I cannot recommend him enough. I know that the result won't be anything other than outstanding - I don't have to think or worry about the outcome.       There are very few spaces available to young people these days, so one that was created by the young people themselves is a rare thing indeed and shows enterprise, engagement, and things we ought to encourage rather than being fearful of. The councillor in the article is - predictably - advocating for an 'affordable' pub or restaurant. I'd be concerned this just a popular way of saying a 'chain' pub or restaurant which would be about as unappealing as a Lidl or Aldi. Did you prefer it when it was being used as an open-air rubbish tip? Because that's what happened before the skatepark and what it would become again if the skatepark wasn't there as the landowners do nothing with the space.
