mrsps
Hi all, I was wondering if there is a regular 10k run somewhere locally? I've heard rumours about a weekly one in Dulwich park but can't find anything definite online. Does anyone know? Thanks! jacks09
If you use "map my run" app - you will see loads of 10k routes near you..... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/108222-10km-park-run/#findComment-1002608 Share on other sites
Abe_froeman
I think the weekly one is a 5k. Maybe you could try to get round twice in the same as the slowest one lapper? pidgelet
There are weekly free 5ks in loads of local parks - Dulwich, Peckham Rye, Brockwell, Hilly Fields. Have a look at http://www.parkrun.org.uk/ The runs are super friendly - all organised by volunteers and very much focused on being welcoming, inclusive and fun and totally FREE. You just register once, print out a barcode and come along to the event of your choice at 9am Saturday. Not so sure about regular 10ks. There is the Chase the Sun series by RunThrough. The other good place to look is the Runners World event finder. healey
Just make your own with a mapping app. I have one that takes in East Dulwich, Dulwich Park/Village and Sydenham Hill wood (including the steep path up to the Wood House pub). Hurts like hell! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/108222-10km-park-run/#findComment-1003020 Share on other sites

I did 5K Race 4 Life on Saturday in Regents Park which was enough......are there really people out there who run 5K or 10K weekly? I salute you : ) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/108222-10km-park-run/#findComment-1004143 Share on other sites
healey
I do three 5k a week. Used to go longer but now prefer to chase times instead. That's very low compared to some. Jeremy
Yep, I went through a phase of running 6-7K three times a week. Not much fun round here with all the hills... but I shifted the beer gut. Pickle
Lots of people run more than that distance in a week. I aim for about 20-30km every week, spread over 3 or 4 runs, and I'm just a "fun" runner, not training for anything. Great way to stay fit and keeps me sane, I run alone and it gives me head space! littlemissj
Wow I am impressed, think I need to dust my trainers off more often : ) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/108222-10km-park-run/#findComment-1005910 Share on other sites
