I'm another that went to The Green a couple of years ago and won't be going back. Poor food and unforgivably bad service. Some dishes failed to even turn up.

It's hard to believe that it is related to Le Chardon. The latter is always a nice place for a bit of a blowout, even if they do shoehorn a couple too many tables in.

My one and only visit to this farce of a restaurant resulted in an argument with a French waiter about the contents of a salad nicoise. Mrs E can't stand eggs and requested said dish without. We then had a 5 minute tirade about where he had worked and in which towns in which countries and never did he see eggs in salad Nicoise............45 mins later up comes Mrs E's dish complete with boiled eggs.....off it went with a huffy Frenchman...back it came egg scraped out....unhappy missus.....we paid our bill, minus the optional tip and when questioned by the manager...."why no tip?"..told him the story to which he asked us which waiter, and called him over to berate in front of us, best of all the waiter argued back in front of us......we left....nuff said......

Yes they are part of Le Chardon and Au Ciel in the Village. But it does go to show the amount of bad reviews these places get but still they trade on.

The Green. Hmm, been twice. Once when it first opened, truly dire. Second after internal revamp, questionable service, good food once cocked-up order sorted out. However, truly dire singer who clearly thought she was a jazz diva manqu? who spent the best part of an hour murdering classic songs.

    • What is it that makes Waitrose so special! Admittedly I have shopped a couple of times in the Orpington and Beckenham one - sometimes buying food which I cannot get else where. Their 'basic range' is not bad. Price for price and quality - M & S.
    • Sometimes a shed or other installation has to have written approval from the freeholder i.e. Southwark, Southwark has (or did have) a Leaseholder Association.   Could also come under Anti Social Behaviour Unit.
    • Love Dulwich is great but has a large step in front. We have only been weekdays at Lunch time. Maria's next to Picture House is disabled friendly. Also can reserve table in advance. We did a Sunday lunch catch up with family - there were 8 of us.
    • Hi, Thinking about  going with some friends and was just wondering if folk might like to report back please. Most importantly sound level when busy & is it disabled friendly.  Thinking on a Sunday lunchtime but don’t want a busy busy environment or loud chatter - a couple of friends could not cope. Time can be flexible, if that helps - say 2 ish to avoid above.. Thanks…
