I was just having a look at recent local crime stats for ED at https://www.police.uk/metropolitan/E05000539/

Some things you might find interesting on the website:

- contact details for the ED Safer Neighbourhood Team.

- their priorities: burglary, robbery of personal property, and motor vehicle crime.

Some stats from March 2016:

- 89 crimes recorded

- Only 1 robbery (near station). Makes you wonder whether robbery still needs to be a police priority in the neighbourhood.

- 10 vehicle crimes

- 10 burglaries

- 13 anti-social behaviour incidents

- 4 pushbikes were nicked (2 from Sylvester Rd)

- all crimes spread evenly around the neighbourhood

Commiserations if you were unlucky enough to experience any of these or other incidents. As you would probably expect, ED stats show a much safer picture than neighbouring Peckham (which does have robbery issues).

Interesting that I have seen Peckham's Safer Neighbourhood Team participating on this forum, but not the ED team.
