Pugwash
See previous message - the group is active and meets at Christ Church - they were involved in a small concert just before Christmas along with some singers. Still looking for people to join them. Otta
I repeat my Dulwich jam recommendation. Next one is the first Wednesday in Feb, which is actually the 1st. Great welcoming vibe and cheap booze. What's not to like? shazza76
Thanks for the suggestions. Will look into these but was more thinking on the lines of meeting up with local musicians and maybe starting up a band. KidKruger
Shazza - if you go to the Dulwich Jam you can form 20 bands, all in one night. First time I ever 'played' with 'a band' was there a few months ago, if you wanna make connections it's all there on a plate for you - just get down there and get talking to everyone (and much more efficient than traipsing through loads of musicians one at a time). What's more you can hear dozens of LOCAL musicians playing. Beer is cheap, it's true.Like Otta said, it's real friendly and sans attitude. Jeremy
Yep, Dulwich Jam is a great place to start. You'll meet loads of other local musicians, and maybe even a few who might be up for starting a "proper" band. Nothing to lose!
