Have had an email from Southern Railways saying that from 24th May there will be new departures during rush hour to London Bridge. So no longer 20 minute delays if you just miss the 7.29 a.m. or 8.15 a.m. !

Nice one. Now I've got the choice, I can't be arsed with that "can you move down a bit!" 07.57 to 08:41 period anymore. And there was nothing more soul destroying to a man than just missing the 07:29.

Great that Southern are finally waking up and realising that the higher suit count in ED these days means more city commuters and a need for a spread of times that reflect that. Er....thank you Barry!

Looks like they've moved them to 8.33 and 8.45

Apart from more regular departures thus less crowded - the new trains such as the 8.27 and 7.57 will be arriving at Peckham Rye just minutes after other trains pass Peckham so should be a lot more comfortable in the event of standing.

Hi

New time tables (small ones) will be delivered to all stations shortly

Barry

That's my boyfriend! He's got exams at the moment, but sure he will do once they're over and the full new timetable is published.

    • Hi there! I just want to recommend the cleaning services of Gardênia Gasparette. Her lovely, professional cleaners clean our airbnb property to an excellent standard. They even iron the sheets for the Airbnb! The towels are always rolled up and arranged on the beds like it’s a spa and the corners of the toilet rolls folded in so it all looks lovely. Gardênia services are competitively priced and she also does domestic cleans and ironing. You can contact Gardênia on the number below.  +44 7709 333446  Thanks!
    • Hi there,  I am currently making a small independent short film and we are looking to shoot some scenes across 21 and 22nd June at Dawson's Heights. The story follows two young kids playing together over the course of a summer's evening. The scenes we are shooting would be on the grassy area and playground opposite the building.  We think the location is absolutely beautiful and think it would be a perfect location for our film! I am trying to track down any residents that live at Dawson's Heights, who may be able to point me towards the right point of contact to see if we can get the correct permissions in place.  Our small crew are all industry professionals and would treat the location with the utmost respect, and will leave the location exactly how we found it.  Thanks so much in advance.  All the best,  Rob
    • But people do travel there for non-retail reasons – it's attractive, leafy, it has the park and the gallery – and then fancy a coffee and a cake... Re Romeo Jones, rising costs were the primary reason for closure, but the LTNs had created a situation where revenue has been noticeably down since they were introduced, making businesses vulnerable to any other blows.
