I also can highly recommend Aston. He came recommended via EDF after I made a request for a handyman to fix our very broken bed. He is efficient, very friendly and responsibly priced. We will be getting him back in a few weeks to clear our garden and do odd repairs around the house. His number is 07490947355.

I can highly recommend Aston's handyman work - 07490947355

He came to fit some blinds for me & hang a wall mirror.

His work was of a very high standard, (a perfectionist no shabby work here).....and he was professional, reliable, honest & reasonably priced.

He is a good old fashioned handyman who comes from East Dulwich.

Aston, I don?t know if you?d be interested in a small job but we have a ground floor flat in New Cross with patio doors to the garden and the door step/cill has rotted. I wondered whether you could advise as to the best option for repair.

Many thanks, Keith Bignell 07941798264

I would highly recommend Aston as he has done allot of work for us in the past.

Aston has assisted in the major renovation of our 1920's home, from assisting in knocking down walls & redecoration to kitchen & bathroom fitting, hanging doors & general refurbishment work including helping clear our severely overgrown garden & landscaping.

Aston is reliable, professional & concientious in his work & pays great attention to detail & finish..........we would definately use him again [Astons telephone number is 07490-947-355].

Hi we can highly recommend Aston, he came and cleared out very over grown, jungle garden, and did a fantastic job of fixing the fence. Aston was completely flexible. He is reasonably priced, friendly and easy going. He also rehung a door and helped relocate a fridge for my partner at short notice. Happy to PM photos of the fence.
I can highly recommend Aston who put up some shelves, fixed two toilet seat fittings, fitted a new shower door and sorted out my living room blind that has been stuck for over 6 months - all very fast and efficiently. Echoing others on professional, punctuality and pleasant to deal with. His number is 07490947355. I'll be keeping it in contacts for further work!

Very impressed with Aston. He fitted my job in at short notice, and did a very thorough professional job for less than what well-reviewed handyman on this forum have quoted in the past. He also gave me some honest advice on how I could have other work done more cheaply rather than taking advantage for himself. And he was a nice chap!

Having been let down by several other handyman from this forum, I'll definitely be getting Aston back next time.

I would recommend contacting Aston for any Handyman jobs. I recently asked him to repair and replace broken floorboards, fit skirting and fit architraves as well as a few other fiddly jobs. He came round to view and quote really promptly, gave honest and useful advice when I really wasn't sure how to proceed. His standards are high, he did a brilliant job, left the place spotless - and a very nice guy! I would definitely recommend him - Aston: 07490 947355
Another recommendation for Aston. He did some bits and pieces around our house (fixing bathroom light fitting, putting up pictures, fixing cupboard doors, fixing a toilet seat, etc) and he did a great job. He was punctual, polite, efficient and I would definitely use him again.

I too would like to give another heartfelt recommendation for Aston. I was able to get hold of him immediately, and he fitted me in very quickly (luckily he had a window at the end of the day sufficient for what we needed). It was a very challenging job at the end of a long, hot day (filling in a missing floorboard at the back of a cupboard in our kitchen, where a mouse had found an entry point this week, and making it accommodate the many cables coming up from underneath...), and he managed it all very skilfully and with total good grace. It was so nice to have someone so genuinely nice but unobtrusive in the house (it was a busy time when he came, with kids' teatime going on in the same room, but he was very relaxed, considerate and friendly and they loved him!). We're delighted to have found him, and hope to be able to use him again in the future.

Hi- I was so pleased with Aston's work previously (see above) that I arranged for him to come back to do more. He installed the dryer vent, cut and fitted a wood worktop, hung some curtain rails ( a tricky job as I didn't realise the plaster had blown) and hung a mirror.

Very very thorough and hard working. Will be preparing another list of small jobs for him to do.

Highly recommmended

    • agreed Mal and it's not like this new govt is above criticism - there is plenty to worry about or think they are misguided on - but overall there is just about a sense of necessary correction, and that the specific criticism from some on here isn't really all that objective I get they are super unpopular - but anyone voting for ANY party at the last election and thinking a new govt of any hue would be able to turn on taps and make everyone happy given the state of everything was just not taking politics, governance or their own choices seriously enough
    • You could contact Council Adult Social Care Services by email as well. Usually recipient has to be in so they can be told code and shown how to access the keysafe. Are you under Southwark? In which case: 'You can contact Southwark adult social care by: Emailing [email protected] or calling 020 7525 3324 for adults with a physical or sensory disability or who are 65 or older'
    • What did the last lot do?  Cost of postage has gone up well above inflation for years.   This thread does feel like Labour bashing and in particular knocking the PM and Chancellor. You didn't see the Telegraph, Mail and Express knocking 14 years of incompetence by the last lot, in particular the unnecessary programme of austerity that led to the massive decline in public services, the silly idea to have a referendum on leaving the EU and the worst of the lot not borrowing to underpin growth when interest rates at an all time low. It feels like many of you have drunk in everything the aforementioned papers print.
    • " increasing costs, red tape and inflation" yet when Brexit did this people were told to stop remaining Governments are not run like household budgets "It's amazing that the government have been daft enough to pick a fight with farmers - Alastair Campbell commented that he did react with shock when it was announced in the budget as, he said, you don't start a fight with farmers."   And this sounds more like a protection racket than anything else
