Today a good friend of mine started a conversation about wanting to take 5 years out of work to study and she is looking for a Sugar Daddy to support her during that time

As a kept woman (and this applies to Toy Boys in reverse) is she not just prostituting herself for money?

It strikes me as wrong, especially when us men get arrested for paying for the oldest trade in the book, yet how often do you see Sugar Daddies arrested for supplying a penthouse flat in exchange for sex ?

Wouldn?t happen in the Horniman car park on a Sunday night I can tell you !!!

First catch your hare.

Unless she is extremely fortunate she hasn't a cats chance in hell.

Availability of the female kind is not that difficult to obtain unless you are living in a talibanesque area of east dulwich.

Men I have known in that bracket have plenty of opportunity and history of such dalliances and they would be changing their female partners rather more frequently than every five years.

Those guys are extremely difficult to find and you usually cross their paths when doing business deals, and of course when the dealing is done they are often flying off to their next port of call.

So a woman in one penthouse flat in a town which he may or may not visit for 6 or 8 months is not a proposition, when you can ring your exclusive west end escourt agency and procure a civilized, educated, middle class lady who knows how to squash her own personality and not be a burden, who knows how to keep silent and self amused for several hours whilst the all important business is taking place.

I wish her well in her fantasy. Artful.

Meh, Steve, I have in my time been offered an apartment (sadly not a penthouse) - so not so very fantastic after all.

I politely declined the offer: my principles would not allow otherwise, and Dogger (or are we to call you Artful?) I am inclined, to a degree, to agree with your supposition. Depends whether it's a case of allowing someone you care about to help you out when you need it (with the intention of continuing the relationship afterwards) or simply looking for someone to pay the bills in exchange for sex.

Well Artful, it's just that with your dodgy perm, if I call you Artful, I can't help but think of my other great love, Art Garfunkel (whose name you have so cruelly appropriated and conflated - and he offered me so much more - a 2nd hand winnebago in Wichita.) And it hurts just to think on it. So Dogger it is.

Hi Quids

I prefer my real name of "Artful", sadly I heard that BBW was put down a while ago for being a bad puppy, which is a shame as I would have enjoyed meeting him...

this is one game of Mr Wolf that sadly doesn't have a Wolfie in the lead role...

Sorry Horsebox, you fell at the 25th Hurdle there... never mind, pick your self up, dust yourself down and I am sure a nice young person will take sympathy on you whilst you are crying... (who knows they may even give you a sympathy sh*g too)

    • Ah wonderful, I'll pop in and see him One more day and then the fundraiser will close. Just £70 needed to get to £1,500. Thank you all for your generosity and support. Private messages have been lovely.
    • Time will tell if H&B are loved or loathed, the footfall they get and generate will determine if they stay or go. That's the nature of businesses, they come and go dependant on usage. Examples are M&S, Poundland Local, Co-op, Superdrug, Mons, the chain restaurant/takeaways, the chain Estate Agents, Toolstation, Screwfix to name a few.  As much as people would like to see Lordship Lane remain a high street of independents, it is becoming clear that due to Landlords hiking rents, some are unable to survive. This leaves empty units which some of the chain brands considering it to be worth a "punt". I'd have thought that businesses operating in shops is a better alternative than a high street with multiple empty units, but what do I know, they are just thoughts on the subject.   Take a look at Croydon and Bromley where what were once thriving high streets are in decline.  I have to say that some of the prices charged by the independents are eye watering, and incomes i'd have thought have to be substantial to afford their prices. Personally I'd love a Lidl to open on what was the site of the Harvester, but I guess that would get shouted down, oh the thought of Lidl in Dulwich. Whatever next.
    • IMO, Sealy, the best nights sleep you'll ever have.
    • I don’t know what the shop was originally next to the big St Christopher’s but if Holland and Barrett are taking it over then surely it’s good to have a choice on Lordship Lane? The Camberwell H&B is always empty but the Brixton branch busy.  I remember when the Marks & Spencer food shop was Iceland? Now the M&S is a very busy store and at the time regenerated the high street!
