Any KVM switcher out there?

I bought a cheap KVM switch, all USB connections, on eBay from a merchant in China. After testing I'm 95% sure it's defective, but the definitive test would be a substititution. My old KVM switch has PS2 connectors so I can't easily do it myself. Is there anyone routinely using a KVM switch who'd be happy to try swapping mine in to their system for a minute, just to check whether it works there or not? I'd be happy to leave it with you to do so whenever suits.
