**GUITAR LESSONS IN SE LONDON**

Hello. My name is George and I am a musician currently living in Brockley. I am offering guitar lessons for all abilities, all ages and all areas of South East London because I want to fill the time between playing shows and doing recording sessions with my band with something I enjoy. I am DBS checked as I also tutor English Literature, and am more than happy to travel (within reason). I have in excess of 15 years experience playing guitar and over ten years experience playing live, both solo and with various bands. Aside from this, I am not your regular guitar teacher. This is because

-I will NOT be teaching you grades, I will be teaching you what YOU want to learn, and how to express yourself in YOUR own way.

-I will help and encourage you to write your own songs and parts by teaching you chord structures, strumming patterns, scales, and providing you with some amount of music theory (but not enough to make it boring!)

-I will help teach you any song you may wish to learn, to read tablature and teach yourself in the future.

-I will play with you so you get used to playing with others and keeping time with other instruments, but only when you want me to.

-I will NEVER try to get you to learn or play anything you don't want to learn or play. This is about you and what you want to hear and play.

-Learning how to play guitar can be a lot of fun, but it can also be soul destroying when frustration and self-doubt take over. This is all part of the process and without these things you would learn nothing. They are necessary to your progression as a musician. I will help you to overcome these obstacles by being patient and understanding at all times.

I personally think that you should learn to play on your own guitar, but if you don't have one, please don't worry. I can provide acoustic and electric guitars, amplifiers, plectrums-everything necessary.

I would rather travel to you because i live with 4 others in a cramped house, but I am happy to make exceptions if necessary.

Rates are as follows:

40 minutes-?15

1 hour-?20

1.5 hours-?27

2 hours-?35
