Love the mini mirco too but have to say at this age they tipp over the front easily and can be super fast.

My then 2 year old had a fall (just a pebble was

enough to stop the thing and made him fall flat on his face) when he got it and lost a front tooth.

In hindsight i would have waited a bit longer with the mini micro but all over all it's the best scooter by far.

enjoy

I would advice to buy one of the strap things that you can hold onto so that you can control their speed. My son started scooting at 2, he picked it up in a couple of minutes and it was terrifying, he was so fast it was ridiculous. He had no concept at all of danger at that age (and his listening was at zero) so it was a recipe for disaster. I had never envisaged how quickly he would pick it up or how fast he would be and was completely unprepared for that.

Obviously, a personality thing, some of his friends who are more cautious in nature did not have the same issues at all. I just wanted to throw a word of caution into the mix and the tip of the strap so that you can restrain the speed if necessary and also help pull them along if needed, which is what they are for although for us it was simply used for speed control and to make him aware of danger.

yes good point re speed etc, i didn't have that problem but we did get a 'scoot-tow' which is a bar to pull them along. same as strap but rigid so helps if they aren't interested in helping you balance.

also fab for jamming your bl*&dy fingers in.

edited to add that my youngest did exactly this today, so i spoke too soon!!!!

    • Yes, presumably, in terms of using some of the space for non Post Office things, as other sub post offices do. But as a sub office I doubt that they will be able to cherry pick what Post Office services they offer. My understanding is that there are only a few things which Crown offices presently do but sub offices don't (like passports).
    • I bought mine online couple of years ago from arnold Clark. They had send me few videos and I think you have at least 1 year warranty. It was serviced by them as well for few years . When I went for service here the mechanic told me that the car is in a great shape with lots new parts and a very good buy.  It was a very strange experience as it was brought from Scotland and it was click and collect type of purchase. Never had I thought I would be buying a second hand car like that. You pay small holding fee I think I paid something like 50-100£ for transport to London and you have few locations to choose from.
    • It was a better world where 15 year olds could get away with buying alcohol in pubs.  They can still get hold of the stuff but better drinking in a pub with some adult supervision IE bar staff than in the park after dark
    • Does anyone know of a trusted local conveyancing lawyer they'd recommend? Thanks!
