Convex
we have the mini micro and its good. they are expensive if you are buying 2! but if they use them then they are worth it.i think there have been threads on this before.... edited to say i just searched and couldn't find one!! twinhunters
Thank you , I have been looking at these , do you think it's worth getting one with seat to start of with , they will be 2 but are tall for age :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104519-best-scooter-fo-2-yr-old/#findComment-992727 Share on other sites
cathy1983
Personally I wouldn't bother with the seat - both of mine started scooting at 18months with the usual handle! Mini micros are the best I reckon!Cathy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104519-best-scooter-fo-2-yr-old/#findComment-992772 Share on other sites
Convex
definitely no seat, they will be able to use it without. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104519-best-scooter-fo-2-yr-old/#findComment-992775 Share on other sites

enjoy
Love the mini mirco too but have to say at this age they tipp over the front easily and can be super fast.My then 2 year old had a fall (just a pebble wasenough to stop the thing and made him fall flat on his face) when he got it and lost a front tooth. In hindsight i would have waited a bit longer with the mini micro but all over all it's the best scooter by far.enjoy Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104519-best-scooter-fo-2-yr-old/#findComment-992952 Share on other sites
midivydale
I would advice to buy one of the strap things that you can hold onto so that you can control their speed. My son started scooting at 2, he picked it up in a couple of minutes and it was terrifying, he was so fast it was ridiculous. He had no concept at all of danger at that age (and his listening was at zero) so it was a recipe for disaster. I had never envisaged how quickly he would pick it up or how fast he would be and was completely unprepared for that.Obviously, a personality thing, some of his friends who are more cautious in nature did not have the same issues at all. I just wanted to throw a word of caution into the mix and the tip of the strap so that you can restrain the speed if necessary and also help pull them along if needed, which is what they are for although for us it was simply used for speed control and to make him aware of danger. twinhunters
Strap definitely needed , and as twins I think the caution is much appreciated , maybe have to think really hard about safety issues , so sorry to hear about little ones front teeth :( thank you for sharing Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/104519-best-scooter-fo-2-yr-old/#findComment-993358 Share on other sites
Convex
yes good point re speed etc, i didn't have that problem but we did get a 'scoot-tow' which is a bar to pull them along. same as strap but rigid so helps if they aren't interested in helping you balance.also fab for jamming your bl*&dy fingers in.edited to add that my youngest did exactly this today, so i spoke too soon!!!!
