Twins - free double snap'n'go car seat carriage etc

Hello,

I have a double car seat carriage / pushchair for twins going for free in East Dulwich if anyone wants it. Basically it's a snap'n'go frame that you can put two car seats on, meaning you don't have to transfer babies out of their car seats and into a pushchair, or buy an entire transport system and faff around with car seat adapters - you can just pop the babies' car seats right onto the frame, secure them with one click, and off you go. I found it invaluable in the early weeks with my baby twins, when the logistics of doctor visits etc just seemed insanely complicated. It's also incredibly light and very easy to fold.

Also going free are two baby car seats - the Chicco Keyfit 30. Bought in America in 2014. Practically as good as new. CAVEAT that this particular type of Chicco car seat has since been DISCONTINUED (not recalled) due, as far as I can tell, to some questions being raised about their safety if incorrectly installed. But I got them originally as they were held to be the best in NYC at the time - the car safety expert I talked to called them the orphan seat because in bad smashes the cops would often find parents dead and the child in the Chicco Keyfit car seat unscathed (cheerful!), and I've found them to be excellent car seats. Okay for babies weighing up to 30lbs. One in blue / grey, one in green / grey. Base included. Sadly no longer have the infant insert for newborns but those are easy enough to buy on their own from Amazon. Here's a link to the car seat.

If anyone's interested, please PM me. Would much prefer someone to take all three items at the same time. Available free for collection in central East Dulwich.

Cheers,

Vicki

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
