ok, I asked in the Magdela about upstairs on the Friday 21st and it's available and holds about 60 people. They want ?200 for it, ?100 deposit and ?100 hire. I can stump up the deposit so I need to get together another ?100. I'm thinking I might email all 1,400+ registered users to tell them about it and on that message promote some of companies for a fee say ?50 each. Any money over the ?100 fee would be put behind the bar. Now we just need to find some companies who would like chip in, and/or we could ask people who have used the forum over the year to donate via paypal to show their thanks.

Does that sound good? Anyone know any companies that would like loads of business from local people?

I think Mark should lounge himself for diverting from the thread (Friday 10th August at The Plough)

:-)

Oops - realis this already in the lounge - cue for Mockney's countably infinite series of lounges.

    • Hi there,  I wanted to give a big shout out to Kushy Move. An idependent letting agent on Bellendon Road. My family have used Kushy's services for more than 20years. He knows the market in this area very well. He has always found us incredible tenants promptly, and has got a fair price. He looks after our tenants and our properties well. He has always given very good advice when assessing our properites.  With so many letting and sales agents in the area (and I have dealt with a lot!), I have always found Kushy to be straight forward and no nonsense.  Highly recommended!
    • From tomorrow, 21st May at midday, Lord Biggar CBE, Regius Professor Emeritus of Moral & Pastoral Theology at Oxford University, talks with Chris Haydon and a small invited audience on PECKHAM PODCAST. This is the Professor who set out to draw up a balanced view of Empire and history but walked into a storm. "OMG, this is serious shit", said one Cambridge academic on hearing of Biggar's plan. Meet the man himself, unless of course you think this Regius Professor Emeritus should be cancelled still.
