*Bob*
I'm guessing the average age of its listeners must be about 40.Do 'the kidz' see it as 'Dad Radio'? StraferJack
"Do 'the kidz' see it as 'Dad Radio'?"doubt many of them are even aware of it's existenceDon't knock us 40 something (and beyond) dads - we don't have much in this life left Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/10195-bye-bye-6-music/page/2/#findComment-820731 Share on other sites
titch juicy
I occasionally see Don Letts DJ out- usually as a gig warm up, and he never seems to play anything you wouldn't expect him to. I don't have a great Reggae knowledge but he always seems to play tunes I recognise and ALWAYS plays a few Clash songs (excpected, i know).Thinking about it, 6music seems quite under-represented when it comes to Reggae. Cerys and some of those others i mentioned (Coe, Robinson, Ravenscroft, Huey) occasionally play a tune or two, but surely there's scope for a late night show dedicated to reggae once a week. titch juicy
I'm also (just) a 40-something, but have a lot of younger friends, mostly late 20's early 30's and they all listen. Hawley
Have discovered some fantastic new stuff thanks to Tom Ravenscroft on Fridays. Marc Riley's also great - the best show on the radio in my opinion. Lauren Laverne's voice grates with me for some reason... like she's always got a blocked nose. And she tries a bit too hard at times. Tom Robinson is brilliant. John Cooper Clarke sounds like Saville which puts me off a bit.
