Adult Ballet Classes and Badminton

Recommended Posts

Hi, I don't know whether this is the correct place to post my question, but I'll post it here anyway.

I'm a student currently studying outside of London, and I've taken an interest in ballet and badminton whilst studying at university. I would like to continue training/ taking classes over the summer (from June - end of September), so that I can improve on my technique and maintain my current level of skill.

Any recommendations on where I might be able to do either of these sports?

I am not a beginner at ballet (intermediate level), however, I am a beginner at badminton, therefore would prefer a more casual and social environment to play within. I would also prefer if it was near the Dulwich area, but any place with good transport links by bus (preferably a single bus journey, because London transport can become very expensive for a student!) would be suitable.

Any recommendations?

Thank you in advance.

    • We recently had our wooden floors sanded, filled, and varnished by Nikolay, and we’re really pleased with the results. He was professional, efficient, and took the time to explain our options and the finish we wanted. Nikolay was a pleasure to have around—knowledgeable, respectful of our home, tidy, and on schedule. He communicated well throughout, and the final result looks fantastic. We’d highly recommend him to anyone needing floor sanding.
    • Happy to recommend Greg. He replaced an electric shower for us, at the reasonable price agreed, with minimum fuss and no mess
    • It is hard to believe this was not considered well in advance, either by the council or by GALA. Cllr Catherine Rose is adamant she wants to monetise parks, so this is a way to justify changing the event footprint  and creates precedent for yet more changes and park event creep.
    • Those fences are around the newly created bunds. I'm assuming to protect the new planting? I know Gala said on Wednesday meeting they had to put their fences around the bunds to ensure they were not damaged,  apparently wild flowers have been planted there. The flood alleviation works was to protect houses from flooding not the park,  that area of the park always floods as lowest part with river Peck underneath.  It will be interesting to see how Gala manage if we have heavy rain in May!
