*Bob*
I haven't read all three pages on this important and pressing issue, but I feel certain the arrival of a Sweaty Betty does not signify the end of cohesive local community. Angelina
"A counter in Harrods" if that's a standard criteria, maybe we can hope for Krispy Kreme donuts Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/101184-sweaty-betty-the-final-nail-in-the-gentrification-coffin/page/4/#findComment-984645 Share on other sites

Earl Aelfheah
Yeah, i totally agree Jeremy and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't coexist. like I say, it seems pretty intolerant of whoever wrote the 'protest'. Angelina
I suppose the question boils down to 'can we live with Sweaty Betty Yummy Mummies doing yoga on The Lane and stopping us going about our grouchy business"?Well, yes... wholeheartedly. Cassius
I've been away for four years - how wonderful to see the same people are making the same arguments - just about other shops. The last thread I managed to finish was the wonderfully entertaining Iceland one....... Louisa - do you create a new post about daffodils every spring or did you resurrect the 2011 or 2012 thread? I wonder what the general public mean by "bankers", surely just working for a bank is not enough. LondonMix
I'm not sure the general public understand what an investment bank is well enough to understand the differences. I think in general though they mean the traders, capital market teams and M&A staff. Maybe also the risk teams? Most people who work for an Investment bank wouldn't be considered investment bankers within the bank. That term is largely reserved for the M&A / advisory team Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/101184-sweaty-betty-the-final-nail-in-the-gentrification-coffin/page/4/#findComment-985579 Share on other sites

But for that reason, I choose not to bring it back every Spring.
