Ukraine's Got Talent

This is rather long but quite amazing - a form of art that I have never seen before.

This video shows the winner of 'Ukraines's Got Talent' with Kseniya Simonova, aged 24, drawing a series of pictures on a sand table linked to a projection system.

The series of pictures, which is obviously scripted and rehearsed to synchronise with the background sound track, is intended to show how the ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II.

I think you have to accept fame and fortune from any quarter.

She is one of the fastest artists I have ever seen.

There was an artist named (I think) Ralph Thompson who had a five minute in-fill between programmes (1950s) which we as kids watched glued to the screen, to see who would be the first to spot the picture.

He would start off with a huge four inch brush and just dabbed seemingly randomly on to blank a canvas with the corner of his pasteing brush for four and threequarter minutes,

and the last stroke made the picture complete and fall into place.

It was better than most childrens progs today.

    • if anyone believes Reform is a party they can trust then they really don't need to be insulted by me - they are doing all the damage themselves If people don't like the state the country is in they should question why Farage fought for Brexit and why it continues to damage the country so much. He and you will splutter it wasn't done properly but if you can't see the contradictions I can't help you
    • It's not incredibly difficult to understand that people vote Reform because they don't want the Tories back and they don't like Labour and they don't like the state the country is in. It hardly makes them "criminally negligent" - in fact, Sepiroth,  you can just stop insulting people just because you don't like what they have to say - it doesn't really add to your credibility. While Sep says "What the country needs is a serious, mature electorate", what the country REALLY needs is a party that we can trust - and that we do not have.  There is no point at all in having a serious and mature electorate if we don't have a serious and mature party to get vote for.
    • mine's the same - use shears, then mow, but I only do a part of the lawn - the rest is covered in daisies, violets and other flowers, so I leave it. I have to be very careful though - we have slow worms
    • I'm watching a neighbours lawn where the grass is hourly increasing in height .Wondering how on earth they are going to tackle cutting it .
