the-e-dealer
Sammy Youssef, He's still around. retired. Sometimes eats at Si Mangia Nice Chap. - Did a nice breakfast. He owned Thistles on Lordship Lane too - Now Le Chardon. He ate my starter once when he was sitting at the bar - but I forgave him. He was trained as a Chef in the West End I believe. He had a serious accident on his motorbike driving between restaurants on Lordship Lane and FH Road. Had to scale things down.Edited for Accuracy. Medley
Whoever owns the yellow and blue place I do wish they'd let someone run a business from it, as I'm sure the right thing would do well - as it is it's just an eyesore. I'm a big fan of Si M as a good local Italian resto. The Herne - never had the food, love the decor, the garden's not up to much, the beer's far too pricey. Angusvanfrehley
Si Mangia....always had great tucker in there, also they have stuck it out while others have closed. As for another chippy we already have the Seamaster and always found it to be sound in regard to both food and customer service.
