I've owned a succession of shitty inkjet printers. I need a printer coz I work from home but I hate all the printers I've ever had. When it's time to replace their shitty cartridges it tends to cost ?20 or more for a new cartridge and instead of bothering to buy one I invariably just buy a brand-new printer instead (printers are about ?29 and come with two cartridges) and so the whole shitty cycle starts again. Do you own a decent inkjet printer or a laser? Is it worth splashing out for a decent printer? What are the benefits? Will the ink costs be stupid high regardless? Is a wireless printer worth getting? tia

I used to live in Ladywell. I was back over there this afternoon to sit around drinking coffee in the locale's only coffee shop. A local acquaintance then came bounding in, breathless, to announce that there had been a shooting by Ladywell station. Police were "swarming" and roads were closed. He was extremely, extremely excited and looked livelier than I'd seen him in years. So I presume it wasn't actually him that got shot. He was so worked up and excited that he was unable to explain to me precisely what had happened and whether it was a murder. Aren't shootings a regular occurence in south-east London?

Since moving to ED I've been approached twice, once in the street and once in a caff where I was asked if I was interested in working as a Nanny. So what is this weird local fixation with recruiting Nannies? I don't work as a Nanny, never have, never wanted to. Why are random strangers approaching me and trying to recruit me?
