If anyone wants me to share this with them I can -
Dave - I am also a leaseholder and am also extremely unhappy about the quality of the major works... our windows were painted closed and we are being charged a small fortune for very low quality work. I wonder if a few of us should get together and try and fight for the bills to be lowered / compensation paid where appropriate. I gave up complaining at the time of the work (several years ago) as I was banging my head against a wall trying to get anywhere with the council, and was advised to take this up properly once the final bill had been issued - we got the final bill in January so i am looking at all the paperwork again

Moxibustion and breeched babies
poppy-bees replied to missyelliott's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I just wanted to revist this thread - my baby was breech and I found this thread, contacted Giles and started the Moxibustion. It worked! Baby is turned. I have about 50% left of the sticks if anyone else has a breech baby and wants to give this method a go -
We too had major works with Saltash, a complete joke, painted all our windows shut (window's didn't need doing in the first place as we'd already done them to a good standard) I won't go on, but after about 6-12 months of back and forth with them and Southwark we decided for our sanity to just drop it and move on, swallow the cost and try and forget the whole thing. Very frustrating experience. Totally inept, Southwark council & Saltash. Unable to even communicate properly. No idea how they get away with it

Wine Making co-op in SE london

I am attempting to make a cider press as we have so many apples we don't know what to do with them I would be very interested to hear from anyone who is in a similar situation with their apples / anyone who's successfully brewed cider -
yep same guy....

another thought is that he was probably scoping the place out, so will be checking the windows and doors all the time now...

It was in Copleston road... My instinct was to think it was a scam which is why we said 'sorry but no cash on us...'... but the guy didn't sound like he was winding us up, he actually sounded very genuine.... however the situation was odd. It freaked me out a bit as we had the window open as it was a hot night and I was alone (female) in the room when I heard the knocking - which obviously scared me a little bit as you don't expect to get knocks on the window at that time - or any time for that matter... thankfully my boyfriend was in and he came into the room and went to the window.. First it was ?10 then ?45 was mentioned later... he said he'd parked on double red lines in Stockwell.Anyway he said he had just moved into the flat 2 doors down... so i guess if it is genuine we will soon find out Bluebrick - do you also live in Copleston road?

we had a man knock at our window just now (23.30) asking for ?45 to get his car from the pound, he'd parked on double red lines - could have been genuine, but just felt odd as he knocked on the window rather than the door. happened to anyone else recently? very curious about this....
