Warning: dodgy personal caller in Ondine Road
PippaD replied to ceebeebee's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My husband had them at the door last night and they would not take an initial no for an answer and when my husband explained about how we get the best service from our current provider the woman was still tring to flog him their talk talk deal but he again said he had been on uswitch and ours stillis better they finaly said ok and left . As pilsbury said the nights are getting darker and we dont need them this late on sure does make for lotts of dodgy people on the prowl (dont have nightmares about them just tell them no and close the door) -

Has anyone found a childs "kung fu panda" rucksack, containing a asthma spacer and pump. I have carelessly lost one (from vicinity of pram) and it belongs to my 2 1/2 year old son. I know it's a long shot but if you have found it, or know someone that has, please pm me Thanx very much, from a very embarassed mum :-$

Goose Green Nursery, can you recommend it?
PippaD replied to Steph's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Steph I am a member of the PTA at Goose Green. On Mon 7th Dec, we have a coffee morning planned and there will also be some parents looking round the school. Please come along at 9.15ish and speak to parents whose children just started nursery/school in Sept. Some of these parents were also worried at 1st, but I believe we are all honest with our opinions and will freely give them to you if asked Any queries please pm me. Thanx -
Don't know about Ewan (wish i did) but Clint Eastwood is filming in Honor Oak cemetry acording to the Sun!! Layed some poppies on friday in remembrance of a guy with the same name as the character dirty harry.

At last, like minded people on the forum:)) True blood (fx & C4) although a little raunchy:-$ is fantastic as are: Lie to me (sky1) Bones (sky1) with Angel (woo woo) Warehouse 13 (sci fi) Eureka (sky1) And for all those stargate fans the new show based loosely round same theme with Robert Carlyle and Lou Diamond Phillips starts on tuesday (sky1) Roll on kids bed time and winter nights so I can curl up snuggly and get lost in the other realms - lol(tu)

I agree with the painreleif of medicine but i also used Dentinox teething gel for both my boys. It numbs the gums to give them releif and can be used every 20 mins or so. It's available from most chemists and supermarkets. Hope babies teeth pop soon hun as it's awful for them and horrible for us to see them suffering

Door to door scare-mongering (AVIVA health insurance)
PippaD replied to Mrs TP's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
They hit Nutbrook street earlier today. My mum was in and gave them a right telling off about scaremongering and especially about trying to scare any of our elderly neighbours in the street. Mum said the gentleman left looking quite flustered and in haste. Good riddance to them all. -

Dog about town is open tuesdays thru saturday and closed sunday and monday. It is a long established business and doesn't just close on a whim!!! Like other people, the owner is allowed holidays and takes them occasionally. He is also a well respected dog breeder and dog show judge (as can be seen by numorous rosettes on shutters) When booking appointments, clients are told of availability, and queries can be left on answer machine which do get replied to. (okay off my soap box now - sorry!!)

That happens all the time Also 2 seater sports cars in child and parent bays!! Must give sainsburys a pat on the back though, as they're the only supermarket that allow parents with children to park in the disabled bays if all the parent bays are full.
-
Something happened at sainsburys too today.::o About 12 ish 2 cars and a van went screaming in there. Was on 176 bus heading towards g/green and now my neck is really sore from trying to see more!!:))

At least the rye lane tesco has a fresh bakery in store. Bread and rolls all days not just till they all sell out.

Does anyone know if ruskin play park has re-opened? Went there couple weeks back and was closed for refit. Also is the pool up and running in this breif but fantastic weather we are having?? Thanx -
I liked the fact that the menu had everything Fish, seafood, meat and veggie alternatives. It also wasn't to posh to do chips instead of little pomme frites!! It started out as a place where a good sized group of freinds could go and everybody could find something they liked including the kids! I know it's a tad close th the round but in the late summer evenings with the awning down it just seemed relaxed and comfortable. Bring it back as it was in the begining and they will come!!
