That "horrid little tree" was planted by the the children of goose green school and the friends of goose green. It is a living Xmas tree and had to be a young specimen, like any other tree planted, it shall grow! The children are all very proud of it and look forward to the now annual Carol singing event round it in December.

former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
PippaD replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James Is there anything that we as patients can do about the supposed retirement of Dr Sharma and the closing of Dulwich primary care drs surgery?? Hoping this is just a rumour, but fear it is not!! With the bad reviews some of the surgeries get, I don't see how all his patients will find other drs!!! Please advise, thanks Worried patient and her whole family (3 generations) -
Pm'd you Thanks

This easy method seems to work but takes a few days. If you can find the entrance to the nest, and are brave enough, use any colour paint directly under the entrance! The theory is (it did work for us, many years ago) is that the wasps leave but can not return because the paint distorts their perception to see the opening. Eventually the queen has to leave as all workers have gone! Good luck, this is only a stop gap while you wait for pest control

The poor bollard on the corner of Adys Road and Nutbrook Street

Mrs TP Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I saw the council guys taking the taller bollard > out yesterday and asked them what was going on, > they said it is to be replaced with another bell > bollard like the one by the postbox side - fingers > crossed! That what they said last time!! I honestly believe that they put the bell bollard on the wrong corner and just dont want to admit it!!! And so the story continues......... :) -

I spoke to the guys who were reinstating the bollard this week. They also agree that it is a waste of time and money to constantly be replacing this. They suggested that if we (residents of Nutbrook and Adys) get a petetion together and request a bell (like in lordship lane) rather than the post, it'll have more chance of staying put as it is sunk deeper in the ground and drivers can not ride over it without damaging their vehicles. May try to get this together at weekend and start visiting neighbours! What do other residents of these streets think? -
Beige Piaggio ET4 leaning against the railings at Goose Green
PippaD replied to kford's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi It's not abandoned! On Saturday evening I met a guy checking it over with the keys, it had been in an accident at that junction and the person has only just got out of hospital!! I'm guessing he was checking the condition before Making arrangements to have it removed. Am guessing if it was involved in a accident that the police are aware and hence it hasn't been removed as yet. -

It was lovely meeting all the new parents today, wih their little ones I'm sure they are going to love becoming part of the goose green family as are their parents. I tried to speak to all parents and apologise if I didn't speak to you directly. We will aim to have another reception starters picnic on Sunday 8th sept 13 at noon. Please let any other parents know so all your children can meet each other again and have familiar faces on their 1st days. Have a wonderful summer Pippa yr1 and yr6 parent (as of sept13)
